Section-A (10 Marks)


I. Read the passage and answer the following questions (5x1=5M)

On a cloudy day, the baby gorillas were playing wrestling and squealing enjoy.
There was so interested in their game that they forgot Mother Gorilla’s orders to stay
close to her. Toto, the youngest of the baby gorillas, ran fast to hide somewhere where
his sisters could not find him.
Suddenly, Toto noticed a golden leopard moving stealthily sing straight towards him.
Toto was terrified. Instantly, he ducked behind some shrubs and screamed as he did so.
Before the leopard could make his move Toto ran into the hollow log that was nearby.
He crawled to its very end and hid inside.
Toto Trembling with fear. How he wished that he had obeyed his mother and stayed near her. He had never
been so alone before. Toto hidden silence listening for some sound. The leopard looked around for a while
before walking back into the jungle. The stillness outside meant that leopard had left. Toto began to call for
help. Soon the other baby gorillas, who were equally afraid of leopard came out of their hiding places. They
pulled Toto out together; they all ran home to Mother Gorilla.

The bird was not to blame for his key

the things you did. Write a diary entry of your activities so that you tell him/her all the details
when you get home. Use the clues given below. 5M
