INSTALL THE DRAINPIPE
1. Install the indoor unit drainpipe Install a drain stream trap in the drainpipe to prevent water from overflowing. (The drainpipe absorbs the odor. When the outside static pressure is high (especially the air inlet),it is difficult to drain the water.) Drainage should be natural. When constructing, the outside pipe of outdoor unit should be inclined (1/50~1/100). The bending part of drainpipe should be fewer than 2. Furthermore, to reduce the depositing dust, avoid bending the pipe as possible as you can. Make sure there is no dust or rubbish falling into indoor unit drain receiver and drainpipe. After installation, remove the checking panel, pour some water in the drain receiver to see whether it drains smoothly.
OUTDOOR UNIT INSTALLATION
KEY POINTS IN INSTALLATION
Installation Confirm the model and the name of air conditioner to avoid mistakes in installation. Refrigerant piping Refrigerant piping should accord with specified diameter. Charge nitrogen with certain pressure into refrigerant piping before welding. Heat insulation treatment should be done to refrigerant piping. After installation of refrigerant piping, do not electrify the indoor unit before airtight test and vacuuming. Airtight test 2 Refrigerant piping must be tested for gas proof.[2.94MPa(30kg/cm G) nitrogen] Vacuuming Vacuum pump must be used and vacuuming should be done from gas side and liquid side simultaneously. When the actual pipe is longer than the fiducial length, the added refrigerant volume of every outdoor unit depends on the calculation base on the actual length. Fill in the form on the outdoor unit with the added volume, actual length of pipes and the relative height drop between outdoor unit and indoor unit for future reference. Electric wiring Choose power capacity and wire diameter according to the design manual. The power cord of the air conditioner should be wider than that of ordinary motor. Do not twist or cross the power cord (380V~50Hz) with wiring (low voltage) between indoor and outdoor unit, or mishandling may occur. Electrify the indoor unit after airtight test and vacuuming.
Test running
CAUTION
Rubbish is easy to accumulate at drain stream trap. Make sure to install a plug or other things which is easy to clean.
2. Test draining Open the clapboard of indoor unit, pour the water in to see whether it drain smoothly and whether there is water leakage. 3. Heat insulation After confirming that drainage is smoothly and there is no leakage, wrap the drainpipe with insulation material, or there will be condensed water.
Test running can not begin until the out door unit has been electrified for 12 hours.

The procedures for connecting pipe
1. Measure the connecting pipe and make it as follows: 1) Connect the indoor unit first, then the outdoor unit. Bend the piping carefully and do not damage the piping
Note: Both indoor and outdoor units have system A and B. Please carry out connection between the corresponding
Signal wire between indoor unit and outdoor main unit
system, other malfunction may occur. CAUTION Daub the surface of the flare pipe and the joint nuts with frozen oil, and wrench it for 3~4 rounds with hands before fasten the flare nuts. (Refer to Chart 14) Use two wrenches simultaneously when connecting or disassembling the pipes. Do not load the indoor unit with the weight of connecting pipe. If the indoor unit is overloaded, it will be distorted, reducing the cooling (heating) capacity. 2) The stop valve of outdoor unit should be closed absolutely (as original state). Every time you connect it, remove the nuts of stop valve then connect the flare pipe immediately (within 5 minutes). If the nut of stop valve has been removed and left for a long time, dust and other impurities may enter the pipe, causing malfunction. So please expel the air with refrigerant (R22) before connection. 3) Expel the air (refer to Exple the air )after connecting the refrigerant pipe between indoor and outdoor units. Then fasten the maintenance nut. Notice for flexible pipe: The bending angle should not exceed 90 . The bending part is preferably in the middle of the pipe, the bigger the bending radius, the better it is. Do not bend the pipe more than 3 times. Bending the connecting pipe of thin wall. Cut out a desired concave at the bending part of the insulating pipe and expose the pipe. (Bind the pipe with binding tapes after bending) To avoid distortion or damage, please bend the pipe at its biggest radius. Use bender to get a pipe with small radius.

Note: Please identify outdoor main unit and auxil unit. Only main unit connects with signal wire of indoor unit. Users should adjust the dial on electric control board of outdoor unit as follows, otherwise incorrect adjustment may cause malfunction.
INSULATE THE PIPING
Insulate the piping
To prevent the malfunction caused by condensate on the refrigerant piping and drainpipe, please do insulation treatment. CAUTION Supposing the temperature and the humidity in the ceiling is high (dew point is above 23 ), (e.g.:the ceiling which is made of flagstone or the inside of the ceiling and the outdoors share the same condition),besides ordinary insulation 2 materials, insulation sponge(16~20kg/m ) with more than 10mm thickness should be used. The joints of all the piping should be wrapped with insulation materials as well.
Insulate the drainpipe
If the drainpipe is arranged through the building, please wrap it with insulation material. It is necessary to insulate the drainpipe.
Insulate the refrigerant piping
Please use material with heat durability for gas side piping. (E.g. EPT) The piping on gas side and liquid side should be wrapped with insulation materials respectively. The water drop should not drip outside the unit.

Besides insulation material, use ethylenic resin tapes to seal them to prevent leakage. Outdoor unit Chart 8
COMM CONNECTION BETWEEN MAIN AND AUXIL UNITS
Signal wire of indoor unit connects to outdoor main unit only and the control command to outdoor auxil unit is sent by COMM wire connecting with main unit. Make sure to connect COMM wire correctly, otherwise COMM error may occur and auxil unit can not start. See following chart for connection:
CAUTION ON REFRIGERANT LEAKAGE
This air conditioner adopts R22 as refrigerant, which is safe and noncombustible. The room for air conditioner should be big enough that refrigerant leakage can not reach the critical thickness. Besides this, you can take some action on time. Critical thickness the max thickness of Freon without any harm to person. R22 critical thickness:0.3 [ kg/m3 ] Calculate the critical thickness through following steps, and take necessary actions. 1. Calculate the sum of the charge volume (A[kg]) Total refrigerant volume of 10HP= refrigerant volume when delivered(11[kg])+superaddition 3 2. Calculate the indoor cubage (B[m ]) (as the OA minimum cubage) 3. Calculate the refrigerant thickness Critical thickness 0.3 [kg/m3 ] B [ m3 ] Countermeasure against overhigh thickness 1. Install mechanical ventilator to reduce the refrigerant thickness under critical level. (ventilate regularly) A [ kg ]
