Sampling’ and. preparation of: sample
‘Take sample in a sufficient size for sampling of test piece, as a rule,
from the part apart by 50 cm or more from the end of the netting, and allow
it to stand under the stendard ‘condition ‘specified in JIS 1. 0105.
6. Testing methods t +
6.1 Moleture percentage Take out three sheets (1) of test piece of ten
mesh aqinee Tron the sal rom the sample prepared according to 5., weigh the mass (2)
before drying and absolute-dry mass (g), obtain: the moisture percentage (t)
according to the following formula and express the average value to one
place of decimal.
Moisture persentage (8) = p#x100
where, ir: mass before drying (¢)
W's absolute dry mass (g)
Note (1) As required for trade,. the number of sheets of test piece
may be ineréased. Howover the effect must be appended
to the test result.
6.2. Classification of nettings Observe the knots or joint parts of
sample Sens tecording toe aocording to S-, judge the profile of its knot and the like,
and express with classifying into 5 classes according to 3.
6.3 Number of yarn doublinge After sampling the optional test piece
from tho aste-propared aecorain Prepared according to 5., untwist the twist yarns composing
{he test piece, count the yarn number consisted and express by the number.
6.4 Twist ‘Take out the test plece'from the sample prepared according

twist specified in JIS L 1095,.as appropriate. -
(1) ‘Twist direction Untwist the sample, and exemine the directions of
Tihal Twist, secondary twist and first twist.
(2) Number of twists Test the number of twists according to the
following methods:
(a) Number of final twists Untwist the final twist so as the single
GAT to be parallel, convert the untwisting number to the in-
termal of meter and express the number of final twists by three
significant numerals.7

, secondary twist cut the others from both grips, regrip. and
untwist the remaining secondary twist to the specified test
length so as the twist does not changé, convert the number of
untwistings to the interval of meter and express the number of
secondary twists by three significant numerals.
(c) Number of first twists After having measured the number of
secondary twists in (b), with remaining one piece of separated
single yarn, cut the others. from both grips, regrip and untwist
the remaining single yarn to the specified test length 80.28 the
twist does not change, convert the number of untwistings to the
interval of meter and express the number of first twists by
three significant numerals.
Remarks: In the case where the first twist is raw yarn, regrip
it in the length not less than 2.5 cm and measure.
(3) Percentage of twist shrinkage After untwisting the sample
Pee re re same method fag to the safe method as (2), measure the yarn length (mm),
calculate the percentage of twist shrinkage (%) according to the
following formula and express to one place of decimal.
