Installing the Impose Kit

Introduction
Impose is a dongle-protected feature of Command WorkStation, Windows Edition that
works in conjunction with Adobe Acrobat and the Enfocus PitStop plug-in. You must
install a special dongle on each workstation that runs Impose. This document explains
how to install the dongle and the required software.

In addition to this document, you will need the following items from this kit:
• Adobe Acrobat/Enfocus PitStop DVD: Contains installers for Adobe Acrobat and
Enfocus PitStop, a plug-in module for Acrobat.
• Dongle: Included in this kit, or provided as a separate item in a box of accessories.
This kit includes a USB dongle.

If it is not already installed, you will need the following software:

• Command WorkStation, Windows Edition software: Located on the User Software CD/
DVD for the Print Server. Installing Command WorkStation automatically installs
the core Impose software.
To use Impose, you must install Command WorkStation, Windows Edition v4.5.1
or later. To verify your version, start Command WorkStation, and choose Help\About
from the Menu bar.

Minimum requirements for a client workstation

• 400MHz (or faster) Pentium-based PC • DVD drive (2x)
• One of the following: • USB-Type A port

The Print Server can be used as a workstation, if it supports and is equipped with a monitor,
keyboard, and mouse.

Enabling Impose
To enable Impose on a client workstation (or the Print Server, if it supports and is equipped
with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse), do the following:
• Install an Impose dongle directly on the workstation. One dongle is required for
each client workstation.
• Install Acrobat and PitStop from the installer DVD provided in this kit.
• Configure settings for Acrobat.
• If not already installed—Install Command WorkStation from the User Software CD/DVD
for this Print Server.

N OTE : If you are enabling Impose on the Print Server, the following procedures assume that
you have logged on to the Print Server with Administrator privileges and typed the
appropriate password. To ensure network security, the system administrator may change this
password frequently. By default, the case-sensitive password is: Fiery.1

TO INSTALL THE IMPOSE DONGLE

1 If Command WorkStation is installed and running on the workstation, exit Command

WorkStation.

N OTE : If Command WorkStation is running, the dongle installation (described in step 2) will
fail.
2 Unpack the dongle and install it directly into the workstation’s USB connector.

Insert the dongle into the USB connector of the workstation. Make sure that the dongle is
securely installed in the connector.
The dongle is required to use Impose in its fully licensed mode. If the dongle is not installed
or is removed during a work session, Impose will be available in DEMO mode only. You can
impose and save documents, but all printed output will include the “DEMO” watermark. To
remove the “DEMO” watermark, install the dongle and reopen and save the document in
Impose.

Install Acrobat and PitStop, as described in the following procedure.

1 Uninstall all versions of Adobe Acrobat and Enfocus PitStop that are currently resident on the
workstation.

• Close all open applications.

• Follow the Windows instructions for removing programs.
• After you finish uninstalling earlier versions of Acrobat and PitStop, restart the
workstation.
2 Close all software applications that are currently running on the workstation.

3 Insert the Adobe Acrobat/Enfocus PitStop DVD into the DVD drive.
4 If the installer does not start automatically, navigate to the root level of the DVD and double-
click Setup.exe.

N OTE : Use only Setup.exe on the root level of the DVD. Do not navigate to any of the folders
on the DVD. Using Setup.exe from any of these folders can result in an incomplete
installation and cause system problems.
5 At the message reminding you to close all applications, click Yes.

6 At the next installation screen, make sure “Adobe Acrobat” and “PitStop” are both selected,
and then click Next.

Wait while the installer copies software files to the workstation and displays progress bars.
7 At the message stating that the installation was successful, click Finish and remove the DVD.

You may now start Acrobat and configure the recommended program settings, as described in
the following procedure.

N OTE : It is recommended that you configure the following settings when starting Acrobat for
the first time. These are the recommended Acrobat settings for use with Impose.
1 Double-click the Acrobat program icon on the desktop to start the application.

The Acrobat program icon can also be found in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0.
(The exact drive letter may vary, depending on the workstation.)
2 At the License Agreement window, choose a language for displaying the agreement, and then
click Accept.

3 At the Register Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard window, enter the required information and click
Register Now.

4 At the Getting Started window, select “Do not show at startup.” Then close the Getting
Started window.

You can access the window later by choosing Getting Started from the Help menu.
5 Close the Acrobat application to save your configuration settings.

If the latest version of Command WorkStation is already installed on the workstation, Impose
is now fully enabled. If Command WorkStation is not yet installed, complete the following
procedure.

N OTE : If the latest version of Command WorkStation is already installed, skip this procedure.
1 Uninstall all earlier versions of Command WorkStation that are installed on the workstation.

2 Insert the current User Software CD/DVD into the workstation’s DVD drive.

N OTE : The User Software CD/DVD is not provided in this kit.

After you insert the User Software CD/DVD, the Welcome screen of the installer appears.
3 Follow the on-screen instructions to install Command WorkStation.

Do not attempt to install Command WorkStation by opening the application folder on the
CD/DVD. Always use the Fiery User Software Installer.
4 After the installation is complete, remove the User Software CD/DVD.

5 Configure the Command WorkStation connection to the Print Server, if no user software for
this Print Server has previously been installed, configured, or used on this workstation.

which accompanies your Print Server.

Activation d’Impose
Pour activer Impose sur un poste de travail client (ou sur le serveur d’impression s’il est équipé
d’un écran, d’un clavier et d’une souris), procédez comme suit :
• Installez une clé électronique Impose directement sur le poste de travail. Une clé
électronique doit être installée sur chaque poste de travail.
• Installez Acrobat et Pitstop à partir du DVD fourni dans ce kit.
• Configurez les paramètres d’Acrobat.
• Si cela n’est pas déjà fait — Installez la Command WorkStation à partir du CD/DVD
Logiciels Utilisateur de ce serveur d’impression.

R EMARQUE : Si vous avez choisi d’activer Impose sur le serveur d’impression, les procédures
qui suivent supposent que vous vous êtes connecté au serveur d’impression en tant
qu’administrateur et que vous avez saisi le mot de passe approprié. Pour préserver la sécurité
du réseau, il est préférable que l’administrateur système change le mot de passe fréquemment.
Par défaut, le mot de passe est : Fiery.1 et il respecte la distinction majuscules/minuscules.

POUR INSTALLER LA CLÉ ÉLECTRONIQUE D’IMPOSE

1 Si la Command WorkStation est installée et en cours de fonctionnement sur le poste de

travail, quittez la Command WorkStation.

R EMARQUE : L’installation de la clé électronique (décrite à l’étape 2) échoue si la Command

WorkStation est en cours de fonctionnement.
2 Déballez la clé électronique et installez-la directement sur le port USB du poste de travail.

Insérez la clé électronique dans le port USB du poste de travail. Assurez-vous qu’elle est
correctement insérée dans le port.
La clé électronique est requise pour utiliser Impose en mode licence complète. Si la clé
électronique n’est pas installée ou si elle est retirée en cours de travail, Impose peut être utilisé
en mode Démonstration uniquement, c’est-à-dire que vous pouvez imposer et enregistrer des
documents, mais les impressions portent toutes la mention « Démo » en filigrane. Pour
supprimer cette mention, installez la clé électronique, rouvrez et enregistrez le document dans
Impose.

Installez Acrobat et PitStop en suivant la procédure ci-après.

1 Désinstallez toutes les versions d’Acrobat et de PitStop actuellement installées sur le poste
de travail.

• Fermez toutes les applications.

• Suivez les instructions Windows pour la suppression des programmes.
• Une fois la désinstallation des versions d’Acrobat et de PitStop terminée, redémarrez le
poste de travail.
2 Fermez toutes les applications en cours sur le poste de travail.

3 Insérez le DVD Adobe Acrobat/Enfocus PitStop dans le lecteur de DVD.

4 Si le programme d’installation ne démarre pas automatiquement, remontez à la racine du DVD
et double-cliquez sur Setup.exe.

R EMARQUE : Utilisez uniquement l’exécutable Setup.exe situé à la racine du DVD. Ne

parcourez pas l’arborescence du DVD. Si vous utilisiez le fichier Setup.exe à partir de l’un de
ces dossiers, l’installation risquerait d’être incomplète et cela pourrait provoquer des
problèmes système.
5 Dans le message vous invitant à fermer toutes les applications, cliquez sur Oui.

6 Dans l’écran d’installation suivant, assurez-vous qu’Adobe Acrobat et PitStop sont

sélectionnés, puis cliquez sur Suivant.

Veuillez patienter pendant que le programme d’installation copie les fichiers du logiciel sur le
poste de travail et affiche les barres de progression.
7 Lorsque le message indiquant que l’installation a réussi s’affiche, sélectionnez Terminer et
retirez le DVD.

Vous pouvez alors démarrer Acrobat et configurer les paramètres recommandés en suivant la
procédure ci-après.

POUR CONFIGURER LES PARAMÈTRES ACROBAT

R EMARQUE : Il est recommandé de configurer les paramètres suivants lors du premier
démarrage d’Acrobat. Il s’agit des paramètres Acrobat recommandés pour Impose.
1 Double-cliquez sur l’icône Acrobat du bureau pour lancer l’application.

L’icône Acrobat se trouve également sur C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0. (La lettre exacte
du lecteur peut varier selon le poste de travail.)
2 Dans la boîte de dialogue de l’accord de licence, choisissez la langue dans laquelle afficher
l’accord, puis cliquez sur Accepter.

3 Dans la fenêtre d’enregistrement d’Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard, saisissez les informations

requises puis cliquez sur Register Now (Maintenant).

4 Lorsque la fenêtre Getting Started (Procédures) s’affiche, cliquez sur « Do not show at
startup » (Ne plus afficher au démarrage). Fermez cette fenêtre.

Vous pouvez la réafficher ultérieurement en choisissant Getting Started (Procédures) dans le

menu d’aide.
5 Fermez l’application Acrobat pour enregistrer les paramètres de configuration.

Si la dernière version de la Command WorkStation est déjà installée sur le poste de travail,
Impose est disponible avec toutes ses fonctionnalités. Si la Command WorkStation n’est pas
encore installée, procédez comme suit.

R EMARQUE : Si la dernière version de la Command WorkStation est déjà installée, ignorez
cette procédure.
1 Désinstallez toutes les versions précédentes de la Command WorkStation installées sur le
poste de travail.

2 Insérez votre CD/DVD Logiciels Utilisateur dans le lecteur de DVD du poste de travail.

R EMARQUE : Le CD/DVD Logiciels Utilisateur n’est pas fourni dans ce kit.

Lorsque vous insérez le CD/DVD Logiciels Utilisateur, l’écran de démarrage du programme

d’installation s’affiche.
3 Suivez les instructions affichées à l’écran pour installer la Command WorkStation.

N’essayez pas d’installer la Command WorkStation en ouvrant le dossier de l’application sur

le CD/DVD. Utilisez toujours le programme d’installation des logiciels utilisateur Fiery.
4 Une fois l’installation terminée, retirez le CD/DVD Logiciels Utilisateur.

5 Configurez la connexion de la Command WorkStation au serveur d’impression si aucun logiciel

utilisateur pour ce serveur d’impression n’a jamais été installé, configuré et utilisé sur ce
poste de travail.

 Installazione del kit di Impose

Attivazione di Impose
Per abilitare Impose su una stazione di lavoro client (o sul server di stampa, se supportato e
dotato di un monitor, una tastiera e un mouse), fare quanto segue:
• Installare la chiave hardware di Impose direttamente sulla stazione di lavoro. Ciascuna
stazione di lavoro client deve disporre di una chiave hardware.
• Installare Acrobat e PitStop dal DVD contenente i relativi programmi di installazione
fornito con questo kit.
• Configurare le impostazioni per Acrobat.
• Se non è già installato—Installare Command WorkStation dal CD/DVD Software utente
relativo a questo server di stampa.

N OTA : Se si sta attivando Impose sul server di stampa, le seguenti sezioni sono valide se si è
effettuato l’accesso al server di stampa come amministratore e si è immessa la password. Per
garantire la sicurezza sulla rete, l’amministratore può cambiare questa password
frequentemente. Per impostazione predefinita, la password, sensibile al maiuscolo/minuscolo,
è: Fiery.1

PER INSTALLARE LA CHIAVE HARDWARE DI IMPOSE

1 Se Command WorkStation è installato e in esecuzione sulla stazione di lavoro, uscire da

Command WorkStation.

N OTA : Se Command WorkStation è in esecuzione, la chiave hardware (vedere il passo 2) non

verrà installata correttamente.
2 Disimballare la chiave hardware e inserirla direttamente nel connettore USB della stazione di
lavoro.

Inserire la chiave hardware nel connettore USB della stazione di lavoro. Accertarsi che la
chiave hardware sia saldamente inserita nel connettore.
La chiave hardware è necessaria per poter utilizzare tutte le funzioni di Impose. Se la chiave
hardware non è installata o è stata rimossa nel corso di una sessione di lavoro, Impose sarà
disponibile solo nella modalità DEMO. È possibile eseguire l’imposizione di documenti e
salvarli, ma tutti i lavori verranno stampati con la filigrana "DEMO". Per rimuovere tale
filigrana, installare la chiave hardware, quindi riaprire e salvare il documento in Impose.

Installare Acrobat e PitStop, come descritto nella seguente procedura.

PER INSTALLARE ACROBAT E PITSTOP

1 Disinstallare tutte le versioni di Adobe Acrobat ed Enfocus PitStop al momento installate
sulla stazione di lavoro.

• Chiudere tutte le applicazioni aperte.

• Per rimuovere i programmi, seguire le istruzioni di Windows.
• Dopo aver disinstallato le versioni precedenti di Acrobat e PitStop, riavviare la stazione di
lavoro.
2 Chiudere tutte le applicazioni al momento in esecuzione sulla stazione di lavoro.

3 Inserire il DVD di Adobe Acrobat/Enfocus PitStop nell’unità DVD.

4 Se il programma di installazione non si avvia automaticamente, accedere al livello root del
DVD e fare doppio clic sull’icona Setup.exe.

N OTA : Utilizzare solo l’icona Setup.exe a livello di root del DVD. Non accedere alle altre
cartelle contenute nel DVD. Se si utilizza Setup.exe da una di queste cartelle, l’installazione
potrebbe non essere completata correttamente dando luogo a problemi nel sistema.
5 Quando compare il messaggio che ricorda di chiudere tutte le applicazioni, fare clic su Sì.

6 Nel successivo schermo di installazione, accertarsi che siano selezionati sia “Adobe Acrobat”
che “PitStop”, quindi fare clic su Avanti.

Attendere che il programma di installazione copi i file relativi al software sulla stazione di
lavoro e che visualizzi le barre di avanzamento.
7 Al messaggio che conferma il completamento dell’installazione, fare clic su Fine ed estrarre il
DVD.

È possibile ora avviare Acrobat e configurare le impostazioni consigliate del programma come
descritto nella procedura seguente.

PER CONFIGURARE LE IMPOSTAZIONI DI ACROBAT

N OTA : Si consiglia di configurare le seguenti impostazioni quando si avvia Acrobat per la
prima volta. Queste sono le impostazioni consigliate per l’utilizzo di Acrobat con Impose.
1 Fare doppio clic sull’icona del programma Acrobat sul desktop per avviare l’applicazione.

L’icona del programma Acrobat si trova anche in C:\Programmi\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0. La

lettera corrispondente all’unità può variare in base alla stazione di lavoro utilizzata.
2 Nella finestra con il contratto di licenza, selezionare la lingua in cui si desidera venga
visualizzato il contratto e fare clic su Accetta.

3 Nella finestra di registrazione di Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard, immettere le informazioni

necessarie e fare clic sul pulsante per la registrazione immediata.

4 Nella finestra Getting Started, selezionare “Non mostrare all’avvio”, quindi chiudere la
finestra Getting Started.

È possibile accedere a questa finestra in un secondo momento selezionando Getting Started

dal menu ?.
5 Chiudere l’applicazione Acrobat per salvare le impostazioni di configurazione.

Se sulla propria stazione di lavoro è già installata la versione di Command WorkStation più
recente, la funzione Impose sarà completamente abilitata. Se Command WorkStation non è
ancora installato, seguire la procedura illustrata di seguito.

1 Disinstallare tutte le versioni precedenti di Command WorkStation installate sulla stazione di

2 Inserire il CD/DVD Software utente nella relativa unità della stazione di lavoro.

N OTA : Il CD/DVD Software utente non viene fornito con questo kit.

Dopo aver inserito il CD/DVD Software utente, viene visualizzato lo schermo iniziale del
programma di installazione.
3 Seguire le istruzioni visualizzate sullo schermo per installare Command WorkStation.

Non tentare di installare Command WorkStation aprendo la cartella dell’applicazione sul

CD/DVD. Utilizzare sempre il programma di installazione del software utente di Fiery.
4 Al termine dell’installazione, rimuovere il CD/DVD Software utente.

5 Configurare il collegamento a Command WorkStation sul server di stampa, se per esso non è
stato installato, configurato e utilizzato in precedenza alcun software utente sulla stazione di
lavoro utilizzata.

Einführung
Impose ist eine durch einen Dongle geschützte Zusatzfunktion der Anwendung

Aktivieren von Impose

Gehen Sie wie folgt vor, um Impose auf einer Client-Workstation (bzw. dem mit Monitor,
Tastatur und Maus ausgestatteten Druckserver) zu aktivieren.
• Installieren Sie den Dongle für Impose direkt auf Ihrer Workstation. Pro Workstation ist
jeweils ein Dongle erforderlich.
• Installieren Sie die Acrobat und PitStop Software von der DVD in diesem Kit.
• Konfigurieren Sie die Einstellungen für Acrobat.
• Falls noch nicht geschehen: Installieren Sie die Anwendung Command WorkStation vom
Datenträger (CD-ROM bzw. DVD) mit der Anwendersoftware für Ihren Druckserver.

H INWEIS : Zum Aktivieren von Impose auf dem Druckserver müssen Sie sich mit Administra-
torberechtigung am Druckserver anmelden und ggf. das Administratorkennwort eingeben.
Aus Gründen der Sicherheit im Netzwerk ist es möglich, dass der Systemadministrator dieses
Kennwort häufig ändert. Das Standardkennwort, bei dem Groß- und Kleinbuchstaben unter-
schieden werden, lautet: Fiery.1

DONGLE FÜR IMPOSE INSTALLIEREN

1 Beenden Sie die Anwendung Command WorkStation, falls sie bereits auf Ihrer Workstation
installiert wurde und ausgeführt wird.

H INWEIS : Solange die Anwendung Command WorkStation aktiv ist, scheitert die (in Schritt 2)
beschriebene Installation des Dongles.
2 Packen Sie den Dongle aus und installieren Sie ihn direkt im USB-Anschluss der Workstation.

Stecken Sie den Dongle in den USB-Anschluss der Workstation. Achten Sie darauf, dass der
Dongle fest im Anschluss sitzt.
Der Dongle ist erforderlich, wenn Sie die Funktionen der Volllizenz von Impose nutzen
wollen. Wird der Dongle nicht installiert oder im Verlauf einer Arbeitssitzung entfernt, steht
Impose nur im Demomodus zur Verfügung. Im Demomodus können Dokumente ausge-
schossen und gespeichert werden; alle gedruckten Seiten werden aber mit dem Wasserzeichen
„Demo“ versehen. Dieses Wasserzeichen „Demo“ können Sie nur entfernen, indem Sie den
Dongle installieren und danach die betreffenden Dokumente erneut in Impose öffnen und
speichern.

Fahren Sie mit der Installation von Acrobat und PitStop fort, die im folgenden Abschnitt
beschrieben wird.

ACROBAT UND PITSTOP SOFTWARE INSTALLIEREN

1 Deinstallieren Sie alle Versionen von Adobe Acrobat und Enfocus PitStop, die sich aktuell auf
der Workstation befinden.

• Schließen Sie alle offenen Anwendungen.

• Folgen Sie der Anleitung von Windows für das Entfernen von Programmen.
• Starten Sie die Workstation neu, nachdem Sie die Deinstallation der früheren Versionen
von Acrobat und PitStop abgeschlossen haben.
2 Schließen Sie alle Anwendungen, die aktuell auf Ihrer Workstation ausgeführt werden.
3 Legen Sie die DVD mit der Adobe Acrobat und der Enfocus PitStop Software in das
DVD-Laufwerk ein.

4 Navigieren Sie, wenn das Installationsprogramm nicht automatisch gestartet wird, zum
Stammverzeichnis (Root) der DVD und doppelklicken Sie auf die Datei „Setup.exe“ in diesem
Stammverzeichnis.

H INWEIS : Verwenden Sie ausschließlich das Programm „Setup.exe“ im Stammverzeichnis der

DVD. Wechseln Sie nicht in eines der Unterverzeichnisse auf der DVD. Das Ausführen der
Datei „setup.exe“ in einem der Unterverzeichnisse kann dazu führen, dass die Installation
nicht vollständig durchgeführt wird, was Systemfehler nach sich ziehen kann.
5 Klicken Sie im Fenster mit der Aufforderung, alle Anwendungen zu schließen, auf „Ja“.

6 Vergewissern Sie sich im nächsten Bildschirm des Installationsprogramms, dass sowohl

„Adobe Acrobat“ als auch „PitStop“ als zu installierende Komponenten markiert sind. Klicken
Sie danach auf „Weiter“.

Warten Sie, solange das Installationsprogramm die Software auf die Workstation kopiert;
während dieser Zeit wird ein Fortschrittsbalken eingeblendet.
7 Klicken Sie auf „Fertig stellen“ und nehmen Sie die DVD aus dem Laufwerk, wenn die
Meldung angezeigt wird, dass die Installation erfolgreich abgeschlossen wurde.

Sie können Acrobat jetzt starten und die empfohlenen Einstellungen für das Programm wie in
der nachfolgenden Anleitung beschrieben konfigurieren.

EINSTELLUNGEN FÜR ACROBAT KONFIGURIEREN

H INWEIS : Es wird empfohlen, dass Sie die folgenden Einstellungen konfigurieren, wenn Sie
Acrobat zum ersten Mal starten. Dies sind die empfohlenen Einstellungen, wenn Sie Acrobat

1 Doppelklicken Sie auf das Programmsymbol von Acrobat auf Ihrem Desktop, um die

2 Wählen Sie im Fenster „License Agreement“ (Lizenzvereinbarung) eine Sprache für die
Anzeige der Vereinbarung aus und klicken Sie auf „Accept“ (Annehmen).

3 Geben Sie im Fenster „Register Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard“ (Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard
registrieren) die erforderlichen Informationen ein und klicken Sie auf „Register Now“
(Jetzt registrieren).

4 Wählen Sie im Fenster „Getting Started“ (Erste Schritte) die Option „Do not show at startup“
(Beim Start nicht anzeigen). Schließen Sie dann das Fenster „Getting Started“.

Sie können später wieder auf das Fenster zugreifen, indem Sie „Getting Started“ (Erste
Schritte) im Menü „Help“ (Hilfe) wählen.
5 Schließen Sie die Anwendung Acrobat, um Ihre Konfigurationseinstellungen zu speichern.

Sofern auf Ihrer Workstation bereits die neueste Version der Anwendung Command
WorkStation installiert ist, ist Impose nun voll funktionsfähig. Führen Sie die Schritte der
nachfolgenden Anleitung aus, falls die Anwendung Command WorkStation noch nicht
installiert wurde.

Habilitación de Impose
Para habilitar Impose en una estación de trabajo cliente (o en el servidor de impresión si
admite y dispone de un monitor, un teclado y un mouse), realice las operaciones siguientes:
• Instale una llave de protección de software de Impose directamente en la estación
de trabajo. Se requiere una llave de protección de software para cada estación de
trabajo cliente.
• Instale Acrobat y PitStop desde el DVD de instalador que se incluye en este kit.
• Configure los valores de Acrobat.
• Si no está ya instalado: Instale Command WorkStation desde el CD/DVD de software del
usuario de este servidor de impresión.

N OTA : Si va a habilitar Impose en el servidor de impresión, en los siguientes procedimientos se

supone que ya ha iniciado una sesión en el servidor de impresión con privilegios de
administrador y que ha introducido la contraseña adecuada. Para mantener la seguridad de la
red, el administrador del sistema puede modificar esta contraseña con frecuencia. Por
omisión, se distingue entre mayúsculas y minúsculas y la contraseña es: Fiery.1

PARA INSTALAR LA LLAVE DE PROTECCIÓN DE SOFTWARE DE IMPOSE

1 Si Command WorkStation ya está instalado y ejecutándose en la estación de trabajo, salga

de Command WorkStation.

N OTA : Si Command WorkStation se está ejecutando, la instalación de la llave de protección de

2 Desembale la llave de protección de software e instálela directamente en el conector USB de

licencia completo. Si la llave de protección de software no está instalada o es retirada durante
una sesión de trabajo, Impose sólo estará disponible en el modo DEMO. Podrá agregar
imposiciones a los documentos y guardarlos, pero todo lo que imprima incluirá la marca de
agua “DEMO”. Para eliminar la marca de agua “DEMO”, instale la llave de protección de
software y vuelva a abrir el documento en Impose.

instalación incompleta y puede provocar problemas en el sistema.
5 En el mensaje que le recuerda que cierre todas las aplicaciones, haga clic en Sí.

6 En la siguiente pantalla de instalación, asegúrese de que estén seleccionados tanto

“Adobe Acrobat” como “PitStop” y a continuación, haga clic en Siguiente.

Espere mientras el instalador copia los archivos de software a la estación de trabajo y muestra
las barras de avance.
7 En el mensaje que le indica que la instalación ha sido correcta, haga clic en Finalizar y

1 Haga doble clic en el icono de programa de Acrobat en el escritorio para iniciar la aplicación.

El icono de programa de Acrobat también puede encontrarse en C:\Archivos de

Ativação do Impose
Para ativar o Impose em uma estação de trabalho cliente (ou no servidor de impressão se
aceito e estiver equipado com um monitor, teclado e mouse):
• Instale a chave de hardware (dongle) do Impose diretamente na estação de trabalho. Uma
chave de hardware é necessária para cada estação de trabalho cliente.
• Instale o Acrobat e o PitStop do DVD de instalação fornecido neste kit.
• Configure as opções do Acrobat.
• Se ainda não estiver instalado: instale a Command WorkStation a partir do CD/DVD do
software do usuário para este servidor de impressão.

N OTA : Se estiver ativando o Impose no servidor de impressão, os procedimentos a seguir

pressupõem que você fez o login no servidor de impressão com privilégios de Administrador e
digitou a senha adequada. Para garantir a segurança da rede, o administrador do sistema pode
alterar essa senha com freqüência. Por padrão, a senha padrão, que diferencia letras maiúsculas
de minúsculas, é: Fiery.1.

PARA INSTALAR A CHAVE DE HARDWARE (DONGLE)

1 Se a Command WorkStation estiver instalada e sendo executada na estação de trabalho, saia

da Command WorkStation.

N OTA : Se a Command WorkStation estiver sendo executada, a instalação da chave de

hardware (descrita na etapa 2) falhará.
2 Tire a chave de hardware da embalagem e instale-a diretamente no conector USB.

Insira a chave de hardware no conector USB da estação de trabalho. Verifique se a chave de

hardware está firmemente instalada no conector.
A chave de hardware é necessária para usar o Impose em seu modo licenciado completo. Se a
chave de hardware não estiver instalada ou se for removida durante o trabalho, o Impose ficará
disponível apenas no modo DEMO. É possível fazer a imposição de documentos e salvá-los,
mas toda saída impressa incluirá a marca d’água “DEMO”. Para remover a marca d’água
“DEMO”, instale a chave de hardware e reabra e salve o documento no Impose.

Instale o Acrobat e o PitStop, conforme descrito no procedimento a seguir.

1 Desinstale todas as versões do Adobe Acrobat e do Enfocus PitStop instaladas atualmente na
estação de trabalho.

• Feche todos os aplicativos abertos.

• Após concluir a desinstalação de versões anteriores do Acrobat e do PitStop, reinicie a
estação de trabalho.
2 Feche todos os aplicativos executados na estação de trabalho.

3 Insira o DVD do Adobe Acrobat/Enfocus PitStop na unidade de DVD.

4 Se o instalador não iniciar automaticamente, navegue para o nível raiz do DVD e clique duas
vezes em Setup.exe.

N OTA : Use apenas o Setup.exe no nível raiz do DVD. Não navegue para qualquer uma das
pastas do DVD. Utilizar o arquivo Setup.exe que está dentro de uma dessas pastas pode
resultar em uma instalação incompleta e provocar problemas no sistema.
5 Ao receber o lembrete para fechar todos os aplicativos, clique em Sim.

6 Na próxima tela de instalação, verifique se “Adobe Acrobat” e “PitStop” estão selecionados

e, em seguida, clique em Avançar.

Aguarde enquanto o instalador copia arquivos de software para a estação de trabalho e exibe
barras de andamento.
7 Na mensagem que indica o êxito da instalação, clique em Concluir e remova o DVD.

PARA CONFIGURAR O ACROBAT

N OTA : É recomendado configurar as seguintes definições ao iniciar o Acrobat pela primeira
vez. Estas são as configurações do Acrobat recomendadas para uso com o Impose.
1 Clique duas vezes no ícone do programa Acrobat na área de trabalho para iniciar o aplicativo.

O ícone do programa Acrobat também pode ser encontrado em C:\Arquivos de

programa\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0. A letra exata da unidade pode variar, dependendo da estação de
trabalho.
2 Na janela Contrato de Licença, escolha um idioma para exibição do contrato e clique em
Aceitar.

3 Na janela Registrar o Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard, digite as informações necessárias e clique

em Registrar Agora.

4 Na janela Getting Started (Início), selecione “Do not show at startup” (Não exibir na
inicialização). Em seguida, feche a janela Getting Started (Início).

Para acessar a janela mais tarde, escolha Getting Started (Início) no menu Ajuda.
5 Feche o aplicativo Acrobat para salvar as configurações.

Se a versão mais recente da Command WorkStation já estiver instalada na estação de trabalho,

o Impose estará totalmente habilitado. Se a Command WorkStation ainda não estiver
instalada, complete o seguinte procedimento.

procedimento.
1 Desinstale todas as versões anteriores da Command WorkStation que estão instaladas no
computador.

2 Insira o CD/DVD do software de usuário atual na unidade de DVD da estação de trabalho.

N OTA : O CD/DVD do software do usuário não é fornecido neste kit.

Depois de você inserir o CD/DVD do software do usuário, a tela de boas-vindas do instalador

é exibida.
3 Siga as instruções na tela para instalar a Command WorkStation.

Não tente instalar a Command WorkStation abrindo a pasta do aplicativo do CD/DVD.

Sempre use o Fiery User Software Installer.
4 Após concluir a instalação, remova o CD/DVD do software do usuário.

5 Configure a conexão da Command WorkStation com o servidor de impressão se nenhum

software do usuário para esse servidor de impressão tiver sido instalado, configurado e usado
nessa estação de trabalho anteriormente.

Inleiding
Impose is een met een dongle beschermde functie van Command WorkStation,
Windows Edition die werkt in combinatie met Adobe Acrobat en de invoegtoepassing
Enfocus PitStop. Op elk werkstation dat met Impose werkt, moet een speciale dongle
worden geïnstalleerd. In dit document wordt uitgelegd hoe u de dongle en de vereiste
software installeert.

Naast dit document hebt u de volgende onderdelen van deze kit nodig:
• Dvd met Adobe Acrobat/Enfocus PitStop: bevat installatieprogramma’s voor
Adobe Acrobat en Enfocus PitStop, een invoegtoepassing voor Acrobat.
• Dongle: maakt deel uit van deze kit of wordt afzonderlijk geleverd in een doos met
accessoires. Deze kit bevat ofwel een USB-dongle.

U hebt de volgende software nodig, als deze nog niet is geïnstalleerd:

• Command WorkStation, Windows Edition-software: Op de cd/dvd met
gebruikerssoftware voor de afdrukserver. Wanneer u Command WorkStation
installeert, wordt automatisch de kernsoftware van Impose geïnstalleerd.
Om Impose te kunnen gebruiken, moet u Command WorkStation, Windows
Edition v4.5.1 of hoger installeren. U kunt uw versie controleren door Command
WorkStation te starten, naar de menubalk te gaan en te kijken onder Help\Info.

De afdrukserver kan als werkstation worden gebruikt als hij ondersteuning biedt voor en is
uitgerust met een beeldscherm, toetsenbord en muis.

Raadpleeg de bijgeleverde documentatie van de afdrukserver voor meer informatie over de

systeemvereisten voor het werkstation.

Inschakelen Impose
Ga als volgt te werk om Impose in te schakelen op een clientwerkstation (of de afdrukserver
als deze ondersteuning biedt voor en is uitgerust met een beeldscherm, toetsenbord en muis):
• Installeer een Impose-dongle rechtstreeks op het werkstation. Er is één dongle per client-
werkstation vereist.
• Installeer Acrobat en PitStop vanaf de installatie-dvd in deze kit.
• Configureer de instellingen voor Acrobat.
• Indien nog niet geïnstalleerd—Installeer Command WorkStation vanaf de cd/dvd met
gebruikerssoftware voor deze afdrukserver.

O PMERKING : Als u Impose inschakelt op de afdrukserver, wordt in de volgende procedures

verondersteld dat u bij de afdrukserver bent aangemeld als Beheerder en dat u het juiste
wachtwoord hebt ingevoerd. In verband met de netwerkbeveiliging kan de systeembeheerder
dit wachtwoord periodiek wijzigen. Het hoofdlettergevoelige standaardwachtwoord is:
Fiery.1.

DE IMPOSE-DONGLE INSTALLEREN

1 Als Command WorkStation reeds geïnstalleerd is en actief is op het werkstation, sluit u

Command WorkStation af.

O PMERKING : Als Command WorkStation actief is, zal de installatie van de dongle (beschreven
in stap 2) mislukken.
2 Pak de dongle uit en installeer hem rechtstreeks op de USB-aansluiting.

Sluit de dongle aan op de USB-aansluiting van het werkstation. Zorg dat de dongle goed in de
poort steekt.
De dongle is vereist om Impose in de volledige licentiemodus te kunnen gebruiken. Als de
dongle niet geïnstalleerd is of tijdens een werksessie wordt verwijderd, zal Impose alleen nog
in de DEMO-modus werken. U kunt documenten inslaan en opslaan, maar alle afdrukken
zullen het “DEMO”-watermerk krijgen. U kunt het “DEMO”-watermerk verwijderen door
de dongle te installeren en het document opnieuw te openen en op te slaan in Impose.

Installeer Acrobat en PitStop zoals beschreven in de onderstaande procedure.

ACROBAT EN PITSTOP INSTALLEREN

1 Verwijder alle versies van Adobe Acrobat en Enfocus PitStop die momenteel geïnstalleerd zijn
op het werkstation.

• Sluit alle geopende toepassingen.

• Volg de instructies in Windows voor het verwijderen van programma’s.
• Start de computer opnieuw nadat u vroegere versies van Acrobat en PitStop hebt
verwijderd.
2 Sluit alle softwaretoepassingen die momenteel actief zijn op het werkstation.

3 Plaats de dvd met Adobe Acrobat/Enfocus PitStop in het dvd-station.

4 Als het installatieprogramma niet automatisch wordt gestart, bladert u naar het hoofdniveau
van de dvd en dubbelklikt u op Setup.exe.

O PMERKING : Voer Setup.exe alleen uit vanaf het hoofdniveau van de dvd. Blader niet naar een
van de mappen op de dvd. Als u Setup.exe vanaf deze mappen uitvoert, kan dit leiden tot een
onvolledige installatie met systeemproblemen tot gevolg.
5 Klik op Ja bij het bericht dat u eraan herinnert alle toepassingen te sluiten.

6 Controleer op het volgende installatiescherm of “Adobe Acrobat” en “PitStop” beide zijn

geselecteerd en klik daarna op Volgende.

Het installatieprogramma begint softwarebestanden te kopiëren naar het werkstation en geeft

voortgangsbalken weer.
7 Wanneer het bericht wordt weergegeven met de melding dat de installatie met succes is
voltooid, klikt u op Voltooien en verwijdert u de dvd.

U kunt Acrobat nu starten en de aanbevolen instellingen configureren, zoals beschreven in de

onderstaande procedure.

ACROBAT-INSTELLINGEN CONFIGUREREN

O PMERKING : Het is aanbevolen dat u de volgende instellingen configureert wanneer u Acrobat

voor het eerst start. Dit zijn de aanbevolen Acrobat-instellingen voor gebruik met Impose.
1 Dubbelklik op het pictogram van het Acrobat-programma op het bureaublad om de toepassing
te starten.

U vindt het pictogram van het Acrobat-programma ook in C:\Program Files\Adobe\

Acrobat 8.0. (De schijfletter kan variëren afhankelijk van het werkstation.)
2 Kies in het venster Licentieovereenkomst een taal voor de weergave van de overeenkomst en
klik vervolgens op Accepteren.

3 Voer in het venster Register Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard (Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard
registreren) de vereiste gegevens in en klik op Register Now (Nu registreren).

4 Selecteer in het venster Getting Started (Aan de slag) “Do not show at startup” (Niet
weergeven bij opstarten). Sluit vervolgens het venster Getting Started (Aan de slag).

U kunt later toegang krijgen tot het venster door Getting Started (Aan de slag) te kiezen in het
menu Help.
5 Sluit Acrobat om uw configuratie-instellingen op te slaan.

Als de meest recente versie van Command WorkStation reeds geïnstalleerd is op het
werkstation, zijn alle functies van Impose nu beschikbaar. Als Command WorkStation nog
niet geïnstalleerd is, moet u de onderstaande procedure uitvoeren.

COMMAND WORKSTATION INSTALLEREN

O PMERKING : Als de meest recente versie van Command WorkStation reeds geïnstalleerd is,
slaat u deze procedure over.
1 Verwijder alle oudere versies van Command WorkStation van het werkstation.

2 Plaats de huidige cd/dvd met gebruikerssoftware in het dvd-station van het werkstation.

O PMERKING : De cd/dvd met gebruikerssoftware maakt geen deel uit van dit pakket.

Nadat u de cd/dvd met gebruikerssoftware hebt geplaatst, wordt het welkomstscherm van het
installatieprogramma geopend.
3 Volg de aanwijzingen op het scherm om Command WorkStation te installeren.

Probeer Command WorkStation niet te installeren door de map van de toepassing op de

cd/dvd te openen. Gebruik steeds de Fiery User Software Installer.
4 Verwijder de cd/dvd met gebruikerssoftware nadat de installatie is voltooid.

5 Configureer de Command WorkStation verbinding met de afdrukserver als nooit eerder

gebruikerssoftware voor deze afdrukserver is geïnstalleerd, geconfigureerd of gebruikt op dit
werkstation.

Raadpleeg Hulpprogramma’s in de documentatie van uw afdrukserver voor informatie over het

configureren van de verbinding met Command WorkStation.
