It states that IP authentication provides automatic access to most resources, though some individual e-journal subscriptions require unique passwords. It also describes EDS as a search platform that allows users to search across most university-subscribed resources in a single search. EDS allows limiting results to online items, marking and evaluating materials, and storing information privately.

Database Access -

NWU Students
Access is given automatically via IP authentication. Some e-journals are individual subscriptions
that do not work via IP authentication and require a unique password, e.g. LexisNexis. Please
contact your faculty librarian if you are not authenticated via CAS. (EDS) provides an easy,
powerful search platform to users where they can search almost all the resources the university
subscribes to in one easy search.

In EDS, you can

 find books, journal articles, and online resources

 limit your results to online items and available sources
 mark and evaluate material
 store information in a private storage area

What are eBooks?
