HOW TO READ THE ROUNDS
How to read the rounds: Each
row has a sequence as given
below. Example: *sc, inc*
means repeat that sequence
sc, inc followed by sc, inc in
next st over and over to the
end of that particular round.
The number inside the
parentheses (~) is the number
of stitches you should have at
the end of that particular
round.
Add in a marker at the end of
round 2 and move that
marker at the end of every
row. Work in continuous
rounds, do not join.
ARMS
Use black yarn.
R1: magic circle with 7st (7)
R2 – R9: sc around (7)
R10: sc in the next 3st, inc, sc in the next 3st (8)
R11 – R17: sc around (8)
R18: sc in the next 3st, dec, sc in the next 3st (7)
R19 – R20: sc around (7)
R21: sc in the next 2st, inc, sc in the next 2st, inc,
sc in the last st (9)

Start with black yarn.

Cut off the yarn and you
got the left leg.
Do not cut off the yarn of
the second leg. The
second one should be the
right leg. Do not remove

BODY
Proceed with black yarn.
R1: Sc in the next 6st on the right leg and proceed to the left leg
in the 13th st (that’s 13st after the slip stitch). Be mindful of the
knees of the legs and keep them facing the same direction. Sc
in every st on the left leg and proceed to the right leg. Sc to the
stitch marker of the right leg (32)
R2 - R8: sc around (32)
R9: *sc in the next 2st, dec* (24)
R10 – R12: sc around (24)
R13: *sc in the next 2st, inc* (32)
BODY
Place the pipe cleaners in the legs like shown on the picture.
After that stuff the legs with fiber fill and make sure to stuff down
to the calves and hips.
R14 – R16: sc around (32)
R17: *sc in the next 3st, inc* (40)
R18 - R20: sc around (40)
R21: *sc in the next 3st, dec* (32)
R22 – R23: sc around (32)
BODY
Stuff the chest with fiber fill.
R24: dec around (16)
R25 – R29: sc around (16)
Use pipe cleaners for the arms.
R30: dc in the next 4st, dc inc in the next 2st, dc in the next 6st,
dc inc in the next 2st, dc in the next 2st (20)
R31: dc in the next 3st, turn

Put more fiber fill if needed. F/O and leave a long tail for
sewing.
Place the arms and stuff them with fiberfill. Sew them to the
body.
HEAD
Use grey yarn.

Place the pipe cleaner in the tail and stuff firmly the
tail using fiberfill.
F/O and sew the tail to the body. While sewing stuff
the tail with fiberfill.
TAIL
Now it’s time to make the spikes on the tail.
Grab the yarn needle for sewing and black yarn thread
– the longer the better.
Make a loop in
the tail as shown
on the picture
and get the
needle through
the loop 7-8
times.
TAIL
After that pull
the yarn tail and
make the spike.
TAIL
Pull the yarn
tight and insert
the needle in
the same stitch.
Pull it through 2
rows below the
already made
spike.
Repeat till the
end of the tail.
RIB CAGE
Use grey yarn.
Start with a long tail ch13 and F/O leaving a long tail for
sewing. Make 1.
Start with a long tail ch5 and F/O leaving a long tail for sewing.
Make 2.
BACK TENTECLES
Bigger part
Use black yarn.
R1: ch31
R2: sc across (30) ch1, turn
R3: sc across (30)
F/O and leave a tail for sewing. Make four.
After you make all four parts sew 2 and 2 together.
Smaller part.
Use black yarn.
R1: ch16
R2: sc across (15) ch1, turn
R3: sc across (15)
F/O and leave a tail for sewing. Make four.
After you make all four parts sew 2 and 2 together.
BACK TENTECLES
Sew the tentacles to the body.
The longer tentacles should be higher on the body and
the smaller should be below them.
