MEMORY ITEMS

Emergency Descent
1. CREW OXY MASKS (Both) - ON, Establish Crew Communication
2. CHRONO (Both) - PRESS
Note: Timing is required when maximizing passenger oxygen.
3. Descend with the autopilot and/or flight directors engaged:
- Turn the ALT selector knob and pull.
- Turn the HDG selector knob and pull.
Caution: Possible high terrain off the airway.
- Adjust the target SPD/MACH.
Note: Use of autopilot is also permitted in EXPEDITE mode.
4. THR LEVERS (if A/THR not engaged) - IDLE
5. SPD BRK - FULL
Note: Speedbrake extension will increase VLS. Avoid autopilot disconnection
and automatic retraction of the speedbrakes by allowing speed to increase
before using the speedbrakes.
6. PA: "DESCENT COMPLETED"
PNF: Signs on, ENG mode IGN, Xpdr 7700, call ATC, PAX OXY ON if Cabin
ALT above 14000'

Engine Failure During Cruise Obstacle Strategy

1. THRUST LEVERS - MCT

2. A/THR - OFF
3. SPEED - SET GREEN DOT and PULL
4. CRUISE FL - DETERMINE and SET
5. AT GREEN DOT - PULL ALT KNOB
6. ECAM ACTIONS - ORDER
7. ATC – NOTIFY

Engine Failure During Cruise Standard Strategy

1. THRUST LEVERS - MCT

2. A/THR - OFF
3. CRUISE FL - DETERMINE and PULL
4. SPEED - PULL
5. ECAM ACTIONS - ORDER
6. ATC – NOTIFY
Unreliable Airspeed

Respect all stall warnings if in ALTERNATE LAW.

1. AUTOPILOT - OFF
2. FLIGHT DIRECTOR - OFF
3. AUTOTHRUST - OFF
4. Adjust Pitch/Thrust:
- Below THR RED ALT - 15°/TOGA
- Above THR RED ALT and below 10,000’ - 10°/CLB
- Above THR RED ALT and above 10,000’ - 5°/CLB
5. Flaps - Maintain current CONFIG (if FULL select Flap3)
6. Speedbrakes - Check retracted
7. Gear - UP
When at or above MSA or circuit altitude, level off for troubleshooting.

Loss of Braking

- If AUTOBRAKE is selected:
- BRAKE PEDALS - PRESS
Note: This action will override the autobrake function.
- If no braking is available:
- THRUST LEVERS - MAX REVERSE
- BRAKE PEDALS - RELEASE
- A/SKID & N/W STRG - OFF
- BRAKE PEDALS - PRESS
Note: Apply pressure with care since initial pedal force produces more
braking action in alternate mode than in normal mode.
- MAX BRK PRESS - 1000 PSI
Note: Monitor brake pressure on the BRAKES PRESS indicator. At low
ground speed, adjust brake pressure as required.
- If still no braking:
- PARKING BRAKE - ON
Note: Use short successive parking brake applications to stop the aircraft. If
possible, delay the use of the parking brake until low speed, to reduce the risk
of tire burst and lateral control problems.

TCAS RA

1. AP - OFF (if engaged)

2. FDs - OFF
3. VERTICAL SPEED - ADJUST AS REQUIRED
4. ATC – Notify “TCAS RESOLUTION”
All stall and GPWS and windshear warnings take precedence over TCAS.
When "CLEAR OF CONFLICT" is announced, resume normal navigation in
accordance of ATC clearance and notify “CLEAR OF CONFLICT”
EGPWS

1. AP – OFF
2. PITCH - PULL UP (pitch to full backstick and hold)
3. THRUST LEVERS - TOGA
4. SPEEDBRAKES - CHECK RETRACTED
5. BANK - WINGS LEVEL or ADJUST
Note: apply at night or IMC when:
"TERRAIN TERRAIN, PULL UP"
"TERRAIN AHEAD, PULL UP"
"WHOOP WHOOP, PULL UP"

Windshear

1. THR TOGA
2. AP keep ON
3. SRS follow
No CONFIG change
PNF assists by calling out vital parameters (e.g. SPD low, SPD is good,
descending,..)

Windshear Ahead

-During LDG/ in APP: "GO AROUND FLAPS", Flaps 1 step, positive climb,
gear up.
-During TO roll: "STOP", Reject TO (WNG inhibited after 100 kts to 50 ft)
Pred WS alert may be disregarded, if positive verification by crew or no other
signs of WS reactive WS System is operational

Stall Recovery

1. Pitch Nose DOWN (reducing THR may be necessary)

2. Wings Level
3. THR increase smoothly, only when out of stall
4. SPD BRK check retracted
5. Below 20000 ft/ clean: FLAP 1
Note: check Stab Trim in green band
