Love and Tension Between Fathers and Sons.

I choose this because throughout the story, Amir's

love for his family and friends never cease to disappear. It is clearly implied on the movie because
even though Amir's father died without telling his son that he and Hassan are brothers, Amir still
understood his father. As for his brother, he did what he can so that he can justify himself to him.

Upon knowing that his brother died in a horrible manner thus leaving his son behind, Amir
immediately set out to look for his brother's son and give him a better life.By this acts, we can clearly
see that people can change and be forgiving not matter what the situation is. Even though there is
tension among his family, Amir's love stood out so he can do what is truly right and just.

For me, the kite symbolizes love. In the times when Amir and Hassan were kids, Hassan said this
before chasing the cut kite. In the end of the movie, it is now Amir who said this to his brother's son,
Sohrab, before chasing their very first cut kite.

Even though they only know that they are only friends, Hassan loved Amir as his own brother that is
why he would chase the kite for him. Amir never really valued him until the time that he knew that
they were brothers. He did not have the chance to say sorry to his brother that is why he looked after
his brother's son and raised him as his own.

I think I relate more to Amir. I claim to myself that I did not really value my friends until the time that I
need them. I value my friends in a way that I care for them but not a strong bond. I wish that I have
treated all my friends very special because I want to be treated special also.

By this time we should learn to appreciate the things around us including our friends. We never
really know that we need a friend until the time that they are gone. We should also treat our loved
ones the same way because they will not be forever by our sides. While they are still here we should
care and love them as the same way they brought us up.

He allowed Amir to throw pomegranates at him and smashed one on his forehead because he
vowed never to hurt Amir and instead protect him. Amir never really appreciated Hassan's care for
him at that time and he planned a way to get Hassan and his father out of their house.

Hassan treated Amir more than friends, as family. Amir treated him as a friend only, nothing more. It
is sad that Amir never really got to talk to his brothers after they went their seperate ways. Hassan
died without knowing that his best friend, the one he would never hurt, the he treated as his brother
is truly his brother.

Amir set out to find his nephew, Sohrab, and raised him as what his brother would have want him to
do.

i think what he has done is enough because first, Hassan is a very kind  and soft-hearted person and
second, it is the only thing he can do to redeem himself. By the act of going back to his hometown
amidst all the chaos that has been going on just to find his nephew would melt Hassan's heart is he
was still alive at that time. This proved Amir's love to his brother alongside his family.

Hassan meant to for his dear friend Amir, he would run for all the kites that they have cut  thousand
times over to show how much Amir really means to Hassan.

He has always kept his promise to Amir because every time they cut a kite, Hassan would always
come running after it without looking up in the sky and still able to locate where the kite will fall. He
has also kept his other promise to Amir that he will protect him and will never do anything to hurt his
friend.

I think Amir in my own life would be my parents. I believe that they have done everything a thousand
times over for me and it is about time I do the same for them. Even when I was young, they
struggled through hardships and trials just to raise me and my sister. When the time comes that they
cannot do things a thousand time over for me, then I will do it for them as a token of appreciation for
everything that they have done.

In the future, I hope that my children will do the same thing for me as I have instilled them with good
values and morals in which my parents passed down to me.
