1.1 Background of Study
Banking has come to the present scenario through various stages. A modern industrial society
cannot run by self-financing of center premiership. The work Bank is derived from theLatin
word ‘Bancus’ which refers to the bench. Bank wets as bridge between the users of capital is
those who save but can’t use the fundsthem-selves. Bank accepts deposits from the public,
Business firms & grant loan to needy individual & commercial sector. Thus banks are among
the most essential financial institution that deals money & credit. It also provides different
subsidiary function. Nepal’s economy is in the earlier stage of economic development where
financial (Banking) sector need to play crucial role in order to accelerate this pace as these
sector can accumulate scattered saving for capita formulation. Developing country such as
Nepal aspires for a rapid economic growth, which required additional capital formation with the
sufficient amount of investment. No one can deny the fact that a country requires favorable
economic environment to achieve economic development. Financial institution plays vital role
to support the country’s economic development.

1.2 Brief profile of organization


Regional Rural Banks (RRB) are Indian Scheduled Commercial Banks ( Government Banks)
operating at regional level in different states of India. They have been created with a view of
serving primarily the rural areas of India with basic banking and financial services.

1.3. Objectives of the study


The objective of regional rural banks is to develop the rural economy by providing credit and
other facilities for agriculture and other productive activities in rural areas. They provide these
facilities to small and marginal farmers, rural artisans, agricultural laborer's and other small
entrepreneurs working in the rural areas. The objectives of Deposit Collection of RRB can be
summarized as follows:
● To provide loan for backward class public
● To opening branches of bank in rural areas.
● To save the rural poor from the moneylenders.
● To cultivate the banking habits among the rural people and mobilize savings for the
economic development of rural areas.
● To increase employment opportunities by encouraging trade and commerce in rural
areas.

1.4 Significance of the study


Deposit mobilization is an important source of working capital for banks and is of paramount
importance to the banking industry as the size of deposits mobilized by the general public
through current, savings, fixed deposits, time deposits, and other specialized systems critical to
the bank's success
● It is also hoped that this study may be able to explore the capital structure of selected
RRB banks,
● This study will be useful for researchers, students and for those who wants to have
further study in details,
● Similarly, this study may be fruitful to financial institutions.
● This study help to provide information regarding the composition of capital structure on
the basis of term to maturity
● This study have significant role to play in filling gap in understanding of the impact of
capital structure decisions on profitability of selected RRB Banks.

1.5 Research Design


A research design is a plan of action adopted by researcher in carrying out the research. It is the
overall operational pattern of framework for the project that stipulates what information is to be
collected, form which sources and by what procedures. In other way, a research design is the
plan, structure and strategy of investigations conceived to obtain answer to research question
and to control variances. For this study, this research is designed in mostly descriptive and
causa comparative research design towards historical last five years data. The study attempts to
analyze the mobilization of deposit and its uses by commercial banks particularly of NABIL
Bank and Sanima Bank. The research designed follows the deposit structure and its
mobilization in various sectors.

1.6 Nature and Sources of Data


It consists of information that already exists somewhere and has been collected for specific
purpose in the study. The data is collected through the guidelines issued by the bank on
financing to various banking products through various circulars and through the discussions
with the project guide. Also, the data is collected from various sources like websites and books.
More specifically, it includes:
● Annual report of the Bank
● Books, Brochures, magazines and leaflets of bank
● Different Statements
● Files, Balance sheet and various documents
● Websites of NRB

1.7 Data Analysis of Procedure


Financial as well as the statistical tools are used to make analysis more convenient, reliable,
different items from the balance sheet, P/L A/C, and other statements are tabulated. Their ratios,
percentages, Mean, standard deviation and different of variations are then calculated and
presented in the tables.

1.8 Organization of the study


This research study will be organized as following chapter:
Chapter I : Introduction
Chapter one will contain the background of the study, purpose of the study, theoretical
Base,limitations of the study, and organization of the study.
Chapter II : Results and Analysis
Chapter two will include presentation of results and findings of project work.
Chapter III : Summary and conclusion:
Chapter last will include evaluating & interpretion the implications results obtained. Include
similarities and difference results obtained and the work of others. Present implications of
conclusion for practical application or future studies.
