a few rules and made a decision-making structure in the

embracing new challenges. In 2005, Page decided to invest
in Android and this was a pet project of him in Google from
2005 to 2007. Ignoring Eric Schmidt’s objection, Google
increased its investments in Android with Larry Page’s
support. Later, it turned out successful and Google
successfully defeated Microsoft by conquering the
mainstream operating system in post PC generation.
 Communication and listening skills: Page believes that this
skill is very vital in terms of running the company to success.
He lets his employees express their thoughts and how they
are thinking to run the company. He is a good communicator
and he coaches them in a way that everyone knows he is
open to listening to any of the personnel’s thoughts.
 Patience and consistency: Larry and his team always try to
do things that they believe will have a huge impact on the
world. Not all of these ideas work, and some of them that do
work take a long time to become a huge success. One of the
innovations of the company that probably everyone has
heard about is Google Maps. However, this technology took
seven years for them to build. They started on this
technology even before phones allowed people to use maps.

innovation, but they can also serve as a point of frustration
for his team.
 Not scared to fail: One of the many reasons Musk’s
companies can innovate the way they do is because Musk is a
big believer in psychological safety. He knows that his
employees need to feel like they can fail without fear of
repercussions or reprimands. That’s a valuable lesson for any

--------
leader who wants to spearhead an innovative and boundary-
pushing team.
 Strong belief and positive energy: Employees, colleagues,
customers, and investors should feel energized being around
a leader. Musk is highly charismatic with a positive outlook
and optimism for a better future. This is inspirational and it

made it possible because he knew the importance of the
internet at that time and he knew the internet will play vital
roles in human lives.
 Risks for Market Leadership: It took Amazon three times to
get its business platform off the ground. He stated that
“Failure and invention are inseparable twins. To invent you
have to experiment, and if you know in advance that it’s
going to work, it’s not an experiment.” From his bold
decisions it is clear that even if they don’t work out, you’ll
learn something for the next time.
 Persuasion and Influencing Skills: He sets the values, beliefs,
and principles for his company and then he persuades his
employees to follow these core rules. He also has the skill of
influencing his employees to emphasize on developing and
strengthening their skill set in order to improve their
performance. Bezos has the persuasion skill to encourage his

--------
employees to develop creative ideas & solutions for
business-related issues.

--------
 Customers Should Come First: Bezos’ one of the best
leadership styles is to focus on the customers rather than on
his competitors. He pays his attention to customer
satisfaction instead of wasting his time to formulate plans to
have leverage over other business.
In business, being a leader doesn’t just fill a job title. One must have
the capacity to motivate the team to enable them to deliver their
tasks in a timely manner and in line with the overall goals of the
company.
 Mark Zuckerberg has never followed any structured
leadership. He was both aggressive and encouraging. He did
his best to provide a friendly and relaxed workplace. But his
employees reported him as a bad listener.
 Elon Musk admitted during a recent interview, describing
how burdened he is with responsibilities. This inability to
effectively delegate tasks to others and share control reflects
key aspects of bad leadership.
 The management strategies implemented in the early phase
of his career and some official decisions had led to the
emergence of ineffective management in Google. The
decision to remove any sort of supervision from the
organizational structure is considered to be the first official
blunder of Larry Page.
 Jeff experiences weakness in the competition of Amazon's
Fire phone. Despite the innovative nature and creativity used
by Jeff in Amazon, some of the products are not doing well in
the market. Jeff Bezos focuses on different industries, by
focusing on various industries, he is more likely to experience
challenges in one sector.
