See the unseen I

1. Introduction: Why was the experiment interesting to you?

2. Method and Sampling strategy: What methods you selected, and
why.
3. Observation: Do supplement your observation with pictures.
4. Result: Show the table and calculation in the report.
5. Discussion: Why is this experiment important? What do plankton?
indicate about the water body? Discuss your result.

Any creatures that are non-motile and unable to swim against the flow of water are referred
to as planktons and can be found in both freshwater and marine environments. All ocean ecosystems
contain marine plankton, which is essential for preserving the harmony and health of the ocean and its
intricate food webs. Both the food we eat and the air we breathe are supported by the oxygen,
nutrients, and biomass they create. It was interesting to see tiny beings under the water that are
making food and even able to change human life. It was interesting to see how fast they move, and
they have colorful bodies.
We collected samples from a lake. The first method was collecting the pond water using a
plastic bottle, we used this method because most of the lakes have different zooplankton and
extensively prey on them because they devour the bacteria and algae that make up the foundation of
the food web.
First, we look at the samples that were in the lab itself and it was voratum, amphidinium
carterae, and after that, we looked at the samples that were taken from the lake, these were the same
beings and some of them were moving very fast. This is the calculation of the plankton, and the result
of our experiment is that the water body is polluted according to the construction of plankton.

Average = 47.25 phytoplankton in sample

For gride = 47.25*9 = 425.25
In 100 micro l = 0.42525ml
In 500 ml = 212.625 ml
0./m/= 0.42525 ml
500 ml = 0.42525/0.1*500
