SYLLABUS

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
1. Learn the basic provisions of the Local Government Code of 1991 as well as provisions of
the Constitution relative to the principles of local autonomy; and

2. Know and familiarize doctrinal rulings of the Supreme Court, including the latest
jurisprudence concerning interpretations of the provisions of the Local Government Code of
1991.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS: Students of the course must take the Midterm and Final
Examinations and obtain a passing semestral grade which is based on the aforementioned
examinations and a satisfactory class standing based on attendance, recitations, submission of
assignments and class participation.
