1. Intellectual

The intellect of an individual really affects the transfer of learning. For instance an intelligent kid
is more likely fast to understand the lesson compared to the low intelligent kid. In this scenario,
the kid who has the low intelligent would not easily adapt and apply the learning that was taught
by the teacher.

2. Physical
Students who has problem in health, nutrition, physical development, visual and physical defects,
and glandular abnormality are tends to be more affected by the transfer of their learning. For
instance, there is a student who is lacking of nutrition and considered as malnourish. In this case
the student will be having a hard time to understand the lessons, because the nourishment he
received is not enough. His brain cannot function well. So that is why physical factors
significantly affect the transfer of learning.

Mental factors such as the behavior of the students inside the classroom really affect the transfer of
learning. For instance if there is a student behave abnormally inside the classroom, the whole class will be
affected. This problem will lead to destruction and it will affect the process of the transfer of learning in the
whole class.

4. Environmental and Social


The environment and social factors is one of the reasons that affect the transfer of learning. Classroom
environment should be a good surrounding for the students. Moreover, classroom materials such as books,
instructional materials, charts and etc, have an impact towards the efficacy learning. For instance if the room
is messy and unorganized the students will feel uncomfortable and thus it will affect the transfer of learning.

5. Teacher Personality
Transfer of learning will not takes place without the presence of the teacher. So teacher is so important in
facilitating the learning process. Teacher’s personality greatly impacts the atmosphere in the classroom. If
the teacher is gentle then she could help her student to be motivated to go to school because their teacher
is a good one. Also the transfer of learning will be meaningful because the teacher is so effective in doing
his/her job. However, If a teacher is so high temper, then his/her students will be having a hard time to
understand the lesson because they are scared.

As future teacher, my knowledge about principle of transfer will help me to understand that in a
classroom every student is unique. They have different abilities that can only be seen in each individual.
Moreover, this principle of transfer will significantly help me to consider that not every student can easily acquire
the transfer of learning. It will give me an awareness that there are several factors that affects the transfer of
learning. And this awareness will help me not expect or to generalize my student.
Furthermore, this knowledge I have learned will help me to become an effective teacher in the future. It will
enable me to assess my student need. And I could help them to realize their dreams and aspirations by being a
good teacher wherein the transfer of learning takes place effectively.

As to the goal of the education, transfer is a very important thing. As teachers who were considered as the
second parents and as the heralds of knowledge and learning towards the student we need to teach them to be
dependent. It is important thatour learners is not teacher-dependent, we should teach them to explore on their
own and discover the wonders behind themselves. Moreover, it is important to impart knowledge that is useful
in the everyday life of our students. We should teach them the practicality of life. In today’s educational system
the focus is to produce globally competitive people, who are skillful and knowledgeable enough and are able to
use and apply their learning in the real situation an d problems in the real life.
