MOST IMPORTANT HAZARDS : CAUTION : MAY CAUSE EYE, SKIN AND RESPIRATORY TRACT
IRRITATION.
Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid breathing airborne product.
Keep container closed. Use with adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly after
handling.
This product is a transparent tan to powder.
Slippery when wet. A nuisance dust.
Adverse human health effect : No specific risk when handled in accordance with good occupational hygiene
and safety practice.
TLV – TWA : 10 mg/m3 – nuisance dust.
Environmental effects : Negligible effects.
Physical and chemical hazards : Non – flammable solid.
– Fire or explosion : Finely divided particles may form explosive mixtures in air.
– Further hazards : No specific hazard under normal conditions of use.
SECTION 4 – FIRST AID MEASURES
Eye contact : Rinse with water whilst keeping the eyes wide open.
Skin contact : Rinse with plenty of water.
Ingestion : Call a doctor who will decide whether a stomach washout is necessary.
Inhalation : Move the affected person away from the contaminated area and into the fresh
air. Make affected person rest. If necessary seek medical advice.

SECTION 6 – ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Personal precautions : Wear appropriate gloves, dust respirator if long exposure to spill is necessary.
Environmental precautions : Avoid large amounts to discharge into drains.
Methods for cleaning up : Recover the product by vacuuming / shoveling or sweeping.
Use of water wash down is recommended.
Wash to drain. Slippery when wet.
SECTION 7 – HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling : Dust extraction (suction), flameproof of lighting, electrical equipment and
ventilation. Prevent the build – up of electrostatic charge.
Do NOT use compressed air to transfer, discharge or transport the product.
Storage : Store in a dry place, stable under normal storage conditions.
– Incompatible products : Strong oxidizing agents.
– Packaging : Product should be stored in the original packaging.
– Packaging materials : Water – resistant materials are recommended.
SECTION 8 – EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION
Personal protective equipment
Respiratory protection : If handling generates dust levels which cause irritation, or results in personal
exposure exceeding the Occupational Exposure Standard (OES) of 10 mg M-3
(8 hr TWA reference period) for total inhalable dust, then suitable approved dust
respirator should be used.
Hand protection : Impermeable gloves are recommended if extended exposure anticipated.
Eye protection : The use of suitable eye protection (goggles) is recommended.
Skin protection : Normal working clothes.
Other protecting equipment : Local exhaust ventilation is recommended if handling generates dust
concentrations that exceed the OES.
Respirators : Use at l east a NIOSH – approved N95 half – mask disposable or re–useable
respirator. In work environments containing oil mists / aerosol use at least a
NIOSH – approvedP95 half – mask disposable or re–useable particulate
respirator. For exposures exceeding 10 X PEL use a NIOSH – approved N100
Particulate Respirator.
