I dont care what they name her,
I’ll always refer to her as the
halloween freak.

FADE IN:

INT. MYERS HOUSE 1991 - JUDITH’S BEDROOM - NIGHT

JUDITH MYERS (17, tall, blonde) stands in front of a long

mirror, admiring herself dressed in a bastard combination of
grunge and prep. She talks on a corded phone.

TITLE CARD: Halloween, 1993.

JUDITH MYERS
Yeah, I know right. I already got a
brother, I don’t need a sister as
well.
(Beat)
Because their selfish, Brooke!

SOUND of something BUMPING against the bedroom door and

Judith spins around to see YOUNG MICHAEL MYERS. (9, shy,
dressed in a clown costume)

She rushes to the door...

JUDITH MYERS (CONT’D)

Get outta here, Michael!

...and slams it in his face forcing us to -

BLACK OUT.

FADE IN:

INT. MYERS HOUSE 1991 - HALLWAY - CONTINUOUS

YOUNG MICHAELS P.O.V - CONSTANT SOUND of LIGHT BREATHING

Michael straps a clown mask around his face, turns and walks
down the hallway and descends the stairs at the end of them.

INT. MYERS HOUSE 1991 - FOYER - CONTINUOUS

Michael walks through the foyer into the -

INT. MYERS HOUSE 1991 - KITCHEN - CONTINUOUS

Kitchen. He steps directly to the kitchen sink and slides

open a drawer beside it. Inside the drawers is an array of
knives.

Michael scans his hands over the collection of sharp knives,

settling on the largest one, an eight inch butcher knife.

INT. MYERS HOUSE 1991 - JUDITH’S BEDROOM - MOMENTS LATER

Judith still talks on the phone, now applying dark red

lipstick to her lips.

JUDITH MYERS
Anyways, I gotta go, the brats
downstairs and I gotta be the adult
and take him out begging for candy
and cavities.
(Beat)
Yeah, well I hope he doesn’t expect
much. I’m meeting brad in an hour
and a half so little Mikey is
headin to bed early tonight.

BROOKE
(Filtered, playful)
God Judy, you’re such a bitch!

JUDITH MYERS
(Smiles)
Yeah, I know. Anywho, love you, see
you later, have a rockin night.

Judith hangs up the phone on her stand. She tosses her hair
once more and puckers her lips before heading out of the
room, flipping the light off first.

BLACK OUT.

JUDITH MYERS (V.O) (CONT’D)

Michael. Michael, lets go!

FADE IN:
3.

INT. MYERS HOUSE 1991 - FOYER - CONTINUOUS

Judith strolls down the steps and waits at the landing.

JUDITH MYERS
If you’re not here in twenty
seconds, we’re not going anywhere.

Just then she looks over to see Young Michael walking out of
the kitchen, mask on face, knife in hand,

JUDITH MYERS (CONT’D)

That’s not part of your costume.
(Beat)
Is it?

Young Michael just simply nods ‘no’

JUDITH MYERS (CONT’D)

Then what are you doing with it?

He just simply shrugs and casually walks over towards her and
grabs hold of the front door handle, ready to go.

She grabs his wrist.

JUDITH MYERS (CONT’D)

You’re not going anywhere with
that.

He tries to shake her off of him.

JUDITH MYERS (CONT’D)

Michael, I’m serious. Give it to
me!

He turns to look at her, she glances into his eyes and they
are almost completely BLACK.

JUDITH MYERS (CONT’D)

Michael, what’s wrong with your
eyes?

He ignores her.

JUDITH MYERS (CONT’D)

Michael!

He thrusts the knife into her stomach, as she gasps in pain,

he pulls it back out.
4.

In shock, she turns and attempts to climb the stairs. Once

she’s half way up it, Young Michael begins ascending as well.

She looks behind herself to see this and screams out for
help.

JUDITH MYERS (CONT’D)

Michael!

Now he’s RIGHT behind her, raising the knife into the air,
then thrusting into her back. Again and Again, each time she
lets out a shrieking scream.

BLACK OUT.

SOUND of door OPENING.

FADE IN:

EXT. MYERS HOUSE 1991 - CONTINUOUS

Young Michael exits the house. He takes off his mask and
holds it to his side. The bloody knife in his other hand as
red and blue flashing lights shine across his face.

INT. STRODE HOUSE - DINING ROOM - MORNING

A family of four sits around a small square dinner table.

TITLE OVER: ‘Halloween, 2008’

SARAH STRODE (40, brunette, precise) sits across from JOHN

STRODE (45, professional). LAURIE STRODE (16, fashionably
dressed) sits across from RYAN STRODE (15, T0shirt and Jeans,
smartass)

John has his face planted in a local newspaper, while the

others alternate between eating and engaging in light
conversation.

SARAH
Are you sure you’re fine with us
leaving?
5.
SARAH (CONT'D)
Because if you wanna go out, your
father and I can stay home.

John lowers the paper and glares at Sarah.

LAURIE
It’s fine mom, go. You know I’m not
one for celebrating Halloween.

SARAH
I was actually referring to your
birthday.

LAURIE
Oh. Well, still, free trip to
Germany is a once in a lifetime
chance. You should go. I can party
when you get back.

RYAN
Or here’s a thought. Don’t babysit
tonight. Go to the Wallace’s and be
like, sorry bitches it’s my
birthday.

John lets out a chuckle.

SARAH
(Scolding)
Ryan Strode!

LAURIE
I can’t do that, then they won’t be
able to go to Germany with mom and
dad.
(Beat)
Plus, five hundred dollars for a
few days to take care of a little
kid. Easy money.

RYAN
New plan. I watch Tommy for you,
and you pay me half.

LAURIE
New plan. You watch Tommy tonight
and I wont kick your ass.

John lets out another chuckle.

SARAH
(Scolding)
Laurie Strode!
6.

LAURIE
What mom? I said Ass, please don’t
make a big deal out of it, it’s not
like we’re living in nineteen
seventy eight.

SARAH
It’s not like you’re living under
your own roof.

John looks down at wrist, where a silver metal watch dangles.

He then lays the paper flat against the table.

JOHN
Well, I think it’s time the two of
you should be heading off to
school.

Laurie stands up and slings her backpack around her back.

LAURIE
Yeah, Annie and Lynda are probably
waiting for me.
(To John)
Hugs
(To Sarah)
Kisses. See you in five days.

Ryan stands up beside Laurie.

RYAN
Yeah. Much love. See you in five.
While your away pray we don’t burn
the house down, engage in giant
house parties to include orgies and
alcohol and pray especially that we
don’t do nasty things in your bed.
(Smiles)
But you can trust us. Right?

JOHN
Go to school, Ryan.

Ryan simply smiles and inhales.

RYAN
Ah, the sweet smell of freedom.

JOHN
Sheriff Bracket will be checking on
the house frequently.
7.

RYAN
You both suck. You know that?

SARAH
Go to school, Ryan.

EXT. STRODE HOUSE - MOMENTS LATER

Laurie and Ryan exit through the front door. Laurie walks
down the porch steps as Ryan pats himself down. She looks
back to him.

LAURIE
You coming?

RYAN
I forgot my phone, go ahead, I’ll
catch up.

LAURIE
Uh-huh.

Ryan goes back inside, shutting the door. Laurie turns and
walks onto the sidewalk.

INT. STRODE HOUSE - DINING ROOM

Sarah stands at the sink, running dish water. John stands up

and steps to the counter.

JOHN
They’re gone now. What’s wrong?

She doesn’t look at him, she just begins scrubbing dishes.

SARAH
I don’t think I can leave John. Not
today of all days. Not today!

JOHN
Honey, she’ll be fine. They both
will.

SARAH
But he’s out there-

JOHN
And he’s locked up.
8.

SARAH
Still. I have this feeling. I’ve
never left her alone on Halloween,
or even Ryan for that matter.

John grabs her and spins her around gently.

JOHN
Listen to me. Michael Myers is
locked up and he’s never getting
out. He’s never coming back, I’m
not even sure he remembers he has a
sister and even if he does, there’s
no way he could know it’s Laurie.
Ryan doesn’t even know. It’s only
you, me, Bracket and Loomis of
course, but he’s gone now. We’re
the only ones who know who Laurie
really is.

ANGLE ON: Ryan at the doorway of the kitchen, staring on in

shock.

SARAH
But I have this feeling in my gut-

ANGLE ON: SCENE.

JOHN
Well, don’t. Everything will be
fine. Bracket will be here if
anything should happen, but nothing
will. Just relax so we can have
some resemblance of a good time,
for me, please?

SARAH
(Sighs)
Okay.

Ryan turns and walks away, quietly out the front door.
