CONTENT STANDARD : The leaner demonstrates understanding of dance in optimizing one’s health, as requisite
for physical activity performance and as a career opportunity.
PERFORMANCE STANDARD : The learner leads dance events with proficiency and confidence, resulting in
independent pursuit and in influencing others positively.
LEARNING COMPETENCY/IES : Discusses the nature of the different dances.
Explain how to optimize the energy systems for safe and improved performance.

OBJECTIVES : At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
1. Activate prior knowledge about basic position of social dancing
2. Realize the importance of fostering dance etiquette in social dancing
3. Formulate tentative understanding about the benefits of social dances.
