A new software version 3.45 has been released for certain message terminals to address an issue with terminals sometimes rebooting during startup. The update is approved for use with TT-3000E systems but not TT-3020A/B systems. Terminals used with older TT-3020A/B models should continue using older software versions. The new software can be downloaded from the company extranet site.

New software version 3.45 for the DT4646E/3606E/3646 Message
Terminal has been released.

• In the new software version 3.45, we have corrected the issue with
terminals that sometimes reboots several times during startup.

Priority:
LOW: For information purpose only – no direct action needed! Already
installed Inmarsat-C systems without the new version of Hardware are not
affected! New Message terminals shipped from T&T is preinstalled with
the correct SW version SW 3.45.

Identification:
Please be informed version 3.45 is NOT approved for any TT-3020A/B
based GMDSS systems, it is ONLY approved for the TT-3000E MINI-C
GMDSS SYSTEM and TT-3020C/H2095C

Message terminals used together with older models TT-3020A & TT-
3020B should still use the old Message Terminal Capsat SW version 1.52
(TT-3020A) and 2.22 (TT-3020B).

Action:
Please be informed, that the new Message terminal with Capsat SW
version 3.45 is working with the old models TT-3020A & TT-3020B,
however it is NOT approved by Inmarsat – and will not be!

This is important to remember if the Message Terminal needs to be


replaced for installations including TT-3020A or TT-3020B.
If replacement is needed you have following options:

• Find a Message Terminal based on old HW


• Upgrade the TT-3020A / TT-3020B to a TT-3020C.
