FAQ – Powered by P24 - 1/3

● Can I update the Altivar Process ATV9x0 and ATV6x0 with the P24?
With the P24, the update will be not complete. It will be possible to
perform the first part (data transfer) and partially the second part (apply
new firmware) as the main supply is not present, the power board will be
not updated during the process (only the control block).

Moreover, if the control block is switch-off after the data transfer then the
data will be cleared at the switch-on

Schneider Electric - CCC Expert – 15/01/2016 42

FAQ – Powered by P24 – 2/3

The message below and FWUP state will be displayed on the graphic
display terminal indicating that the flashing process is in pending of the
power.
As soon as the drive is fed by the main supply, the process will begin
automatically and update the power board (the drive will restart several
times)

Schneider Electric - CCC Expert – 15/01/2016 43

FAQ – Powered by P24 – 3/3

When the process begin, wait for it to complete then press the OK button of the
graphic display terminal

state “FWUP “
NOTE 2: If the message is not visible, disconnect then reconnect the Graphic
display terminal

FAQ – INF3 with new control block – 1/1

When I plug a control block ATV6x0 v1.5 on the product, the drive
displays INF3 at the switch-on. Why?
INF3 is due to the incompatibility between the application version and the
power version.
For ATV6x0 v1.5, the power version is v1.1IE01 and for ATV6x0 v1.1 to
v1.3, the power version is v0.3IE07

Hence, if the control block ATV6x0 in v1.5 is plugged instead of a control

block of a product in v1.3 (or inferior) then INF3 is displayed.
It is because the power version of the v1.3 (or inferior) isn't compatible
with the application version of the v1.5.
The solution is to re-flash the product in order to update the power
version.

FAQ – Update time ATV Process – 1/1

How long does the update an Altivar Process take?

The complete update of an Altivar Process (data transfer and apply new
firmware) takes around 8 minutes.
If the update is longer than 15 minutes then check that “Conn” setting is
correctly set to TCP.
If not, cancel the transfer and change Selected Default Connection
from Serial to TCP (see slide 24).
