British Ministry of Defence could retire aging tanks, vehicles and artillery. In addition, the Royal Air Force may
have to make do with fewer fighters. Also, there may be delays in replacing the Royal Navy's four Vanguard-class

Russia Called on to Arm Afghanistan Security Forces – NATO is planning to ask Russia to donate
equipment to the Afghan National Army (ANA), including AK-47 assault rifles, grenade launchers, machine guns,
artillery, armored vehicles, fuel and other items. The equipment now used by the ANA is primarily Russian. The
ANA numbers close to 100,000 men, but is scheduled to expand to 134,000 by October 2010. A further 100,000
