N2 (g) + 3 H2 (g)  2 NH3 (g)
a- Ammonia, NH3 is kept at 15 ˚C in a 10 L flask with a pressure of 1.95 atm.
What is the pressure in the flask if the emperature is increased to 25 ˚C?
b- Ammonia is kept in a cylinder with a moveable piston at 25 ˚C and 2.5
atm pressure. What is the pressure in the cylinder if the temperature is
increased to 45 ˚C and the piston is raised so that the volume occupied by
the gas is doubled?
c- How many grams of ammonia are produced if 7.85 L of ammonia is
collected at – 15 ˚C and 5.93 atm pressure?
8- Acetone (gas state)
V = 3.0 L T = 95 ˚C P = 1.02 atm m = 5.87 g
a- What is the density of acetone?
b- Calculate the molar mass of acetone
c- Acetone contains the three elements C,H and O. When 1.00 g of acetone is
burned, 2.27 g CO2 and 0.932 g of H2O are formed. What is the molecular
formula of acetone?
9- Freon is made up of carbon, fluorine and chlorine atoms and has a density of 4.65
g/L at 735 mmHg an 33 ˚C.
a- What is the molar mass of freon?
b- Freon is made up of 9.92 % C, 58.6 %Cl, 31.4 % F. What is it’s molecular
formula?
