Dodgeball KS2

This 6-lesson unit aims to teach students throwing, catching, dodging, and the rules of dodgeball through a progression of skills practices and modified games. Over the course of the unit, students will learn how to catch and throw with accuracy and movement, find and create space, move their feet quickly to dodge balls, and understand basic dodgeball rules. Assessment will include observation, self-assessment, questioning, peer assessment, and feedback to evaluate students' progress in catching, creating space, footwork, and understanding of rules. The final two lessons focus on applying these skills in competitive 4-team matches with reminders of tactics and rules.
