The internship opportunity I had with Paramarsh Legal Associates (Law Firm) was a great
chance for learning and professional development. Therefore, I consider myself as a lucky
individual as I was provided with an opportunity to be a part of it. I am also grateful for having a
chance to meet so many wonderful people and professionals who led me through this internship
period.
I will strive to use the gained skills and knowledge in the best possible way, and I will continue
to work on their improvement, in order to attain the desired career objective.
Yours Sincerely,
MOHAMMAD SAYEM MOHTADI
INTRODUCTION
I have pursued my internship in the offices of Paramarsh legal associates (Law Firm), Patna, and
did extensive research work on various propositions and have carried out all the tasks assigned
and have also appeared in Court cases along Adv. VISHAL VIKRAM RANA and from the firms
in various Tribunals, District Courts, & High court of Patna at Bihar, where the cases were listed.
I made the follow-up on the cases and noted the online proceedings of the cases under their
supervision.
From 3rd June to 5th July I had the privilege of joining a team of dedicated leaders, associates and
interns during my physical internship.  The one month was immensely eye-opening in terms of
exposure to the legal field. The work environment was pretty dynamic. One may be assigned
with typing and at the same time to assist the associates in drafting the plaints as well written
statements. I have gained a lot of experience through my internship and have learned a lot of
things by the work assigned to me and I have successfully completed my internship appropriately
and efficiently. It was interesting for me as everything was unpredictable. Every Client comes
with a new case, new situation, and a new problem. . About Advocates, I experienced that it is
not easy to work as an advocate, it requires a lot of dedication and hard work, only then you can
achieve success, and most importantly social recognition.
Internships fulfill an important concept for both academic and practical education in law. The
integration of both the aspects helps the student to develop the understanding of law in actions as
you are able to observe and perceive the relevance and application of theory to practice.
The sole objective of the internship is to expose the law students to a practical world of legal
knowledge which is quite different from books and movies. It gives the insight of the legal courts
which helps the law student to prepare beforehand for their future. On the other hand it also
portrays compassion, leadership skill and analytical skill that reflect the ethical standards and
conduct of the legal profession.

EXPERIENCE DURING THE INTERNSHIP
The High Court in reality is quite a different place to experience. It can be termed as people’s
court in a true sense
Every Lawyer maintains a court diary, which proves handy and very useful as all the details of
the case are entered in the diary with the proper date and petition number. It proves to be useful,
as respective cases are recorded by the lawyer’s date wise and it saves time to think and search
for the cases as per the present date.
It was adventurous for me as everything was unpredictable. Every Client comes with a new case,
new situation, and a new problem. I also experienced the expressions and thoughts of the
Hon’ble Judges. When they are in a good mood, they will tell you how to do things correctly but
if not then they will scold you for the simple mistakes you have made. About Advocates, I
experienced that it is not easy to work as an advocate, it requires a lot of dedication and hard
work, and only then you can achieve success, and most importantly social recognition. I was
strictly advised to come in formal dress. Every other lawyer was wearing a court uniform to
appear before the court.
THINGS I LEARNED:
► Learn to be punctual.
► Understand the legal system and get firsthand experience of how the court functions.
► Got acquainted with the functions and responsibilities of an advocate.
► Being Involved in actual cases and projects improved my reading, drafting, and research
    skills.
► Oral communication, public speaking, and client counseling improved my communication
    skills.
► Attending court proceedings improves my listening skills and I am able to learn how the
advocates argue in front of the court.
► Confidence booster.

                                       CONCLUSION
❖ Overall my internship was a good experience. I got an opportunity to learn basic and
many new things related to law. I got a deep and inspiring insight in the office work as
well as during court hearings. There are so many things I learned under their guidance
and expect to learn in future as well. Hence, I hope that in future I will get more
opportunities to learn more things. The role of a legal advisor/penal Advocate is very
important in the claim and he is given due regard and respect in the court. The common
language used in the court is English. I was very comfortable during my internship and it
was a very friendly and accommodating atmosphere.
❖ I found out that Tribunals and Appellate Tribunals are like courts and are presided over
by the presiding officer who is assisted by the reader and steno and the staff who is
maintaining the records. The tribunals are well furnished and fully computerized and the
strict discipline is followed in conducting the case.
