Landing gear

alloys are a popular choice for commercial aircrafts due to its strength to weight ratio. And,
special precipitation hardened stainless steels are a best choice due to the toughness,
strength and stability, without having to use a corrosion preventive coating like cadmium.
Machining both Ti and PH steels requires an appropriate cutting edge geometry to reduce
cutting forces, thereby decreasing generated heat and avoiding build up on the cutting edge.
