XX-IO-Prod-1 -- finished good template
|__ XX-IO-SubAssy-1 -- subassy template
|__ XX-IO-Buy-1 -- purchased item template
XX-IO-Buy-2 -- purchased item template
XX-IO-Buy-3 -- purchased item template
2. Set Item Attributes - M1
Apply Finished Good, SubAssy, Purchased Item templates as required
General Planning tab
Safety Stock Method = MRP Planned %
Safety Stock Bucket Days = NULL
Safety Stock Percent = NULL
Lead Time tab
apply appropriate lead times
pre,proc,post,fixed for buy
pre,proc,fixed,cum mfg, cum tot
calculate,rollup - as required
3. Set Item ABC Class Code?
a. Get Planning's Default ABC Assignment Group from
Nav > MRP > Setup > Parameters
if already exists.
else, create one and use for Planning in step below.
Create ABC Class
Class Name: Class AA
Create ABC Assignment Group
Group Name: OnHandABC
Associate Classes to Groups
Assign or Update Items to Group and Class
IO will use this Class
b. Update ABC Item Assignments
Nav > Inventory > ABC Codes > Update Item Assignment
4. Set MRP Planning > Parameters > Default ABC Assignment Group
group name: OnHandABC
5. Create Supplier
XX-Supplier-1 / XX-SUPSITE-1

Then, Setup the Supplier Contact as a Apps User for use with Collaborative Planning

Collaborative Planning.
6. Define Sourcing Rules / Assignment Set - as required
