Mark 16:15 - THE PRIORITY OF SOUL WINNING

Introduction:-

1. GOD HAS NOT GIVEN US AN IMPOSSIBLE TASK TO PERFORM.


- The Lord never send us or give us impossible task without equipping us first.
- This we can testify from the Word of God.

- In Matt. 10:1

- Luke 9:1-2

The Lord gave them power and authority - equip them and send them to preach the Gospel.

2. We can do anything God commands us to do - Acts 1:8


He then filled us with His Holy Spirit - and gave us power

3. Phil.4:13

God never sends us to do His work empty handed - He equips us with His power and gifts.
4. He has assured us that His Presence will also go with us.

Matt. 28: 20

Mark 16:20

5. Christians are suppose to bear fruit - John 15:16


a ) the fruit of a Christian is not love, joy, peace… (these are the fruit of the Spirit)
b ) the fruit of a Christian is winning others for Christ.
c ) "he that winneth souls is wise" - Pro. 11:30

6. Why are so many Christians not involved in this most important work ?

- because we don't regard soul winning as the most important called in our life.

A. MAKE SOUL WINNING OUR PRIORITY, BECAUSE OF THE DANGER / PERIL OF THE LOST SOULS.

- John 3:18

i ) any person not trusting Jesus Christ is already condemned

ii ) if a Christian could spend just 5 minutes in hell, what a difference it would make

- Luke 16:27-28

B. MAKE SOUL WINNING OUR PRIORITY BECAUSE OF THE VALUE OF SOULS

- Matt. 16:26.
- according to Jesus, one soul is worth more than the whole world (the wisdom of soul winning)

- The value of the soul corresponds to the value of life.

- Knowing the value of the soul not only affects how we care for our own soul -- it also motivates us
to care for the souls of others. Every soul is important.

- Jesus teaches us the value of one soul.

- Christians have been bought, now we belong to Christ - I Corinthians 6:20


- only Christ has sufficient resources to purchase us from lose (redemption)

C. MAKE SOUL WINNING OUR PRIORITY BECAUSE OF THE PAYMENT THAT JESUS MADE FOR THE
SOUL

- I Peter 1:18-19

- no one can fully understand the suffering that Jesus experienced in order to pay for our sins

John 19:30
The payment is finished. He has paid the price so that we do not have to pay any.

D. MAKE SOUL WINNING OUR PRIORITY BECAUSE OF THE PRODUCTS IT PRODUCES

1Peter 1:22-23

- it produces changed life

- it produces quality life

- it produces holy and righteous life

- Jesus takes the worse and produces the best life

- it produces clean life

- it produces incorruptible life

- it produces fruitful life - John 15:16


E. MAKE SOUL WINNING OUR PRIORITY BECAUSE JESUS SAID TO DO IT

Matthew 28:18-20

Mark 16:15

a ) what did Jesus say.......

b ) Jesus said, "all power or authority is Mine, go you therefore…"

- the greatest reason for winning souls is that the greatest Authority has told us to do it

- not to win souls is to disobey the greatest Authority, and to become perhaps the greatest rebe
