The Learners’ Development Profile

Name of the Learner: Arian Bernadeth B. Yaranon

Physical Development
The learner is physically fit, though there are certain foods that cause
allergic reaction to her but she has learned to avoid those foods that will
trigger her allergies. She is well- behaved and soft spoken. She is also fast
learner especially in the school where she received numerous.

even if she just met for a while. She has mostly lot of friends at the church
where she is joining actively.

different from a child similar to her age that’s why she always topped in
the school.

behavior. They have clear and specific rules set at home.
Recommendations
For me, every rule in their home is clearly defined and expectations are
set properly for their child. She has already a balance life both outside and
inside the home.

Guide Questions

Your findings and recommendations in the Learner Development Profile will help you
answer the questions here.

1. From your home visit and interview, what do you think is the style of parenting
experienced by the learner? Explain your answer.
The parents of the learner know when to say NO or YES to her and even being
consistent on their decisions as parent. You cannot see sense of favoritism as
they spend equal attention to them.
2. Relating your data with what you learned from child development, what family factors do
you think contribute to the development and over-all adjustment of the learner in school?

If the parents support their children on their educational needs, for sure the
children will perform well better than others. It can motivate a child to be good
performer at school because they knew within their selves that her parents are
always at her back in sadness or victory.
3. Does the communication between the home-school have an effect on the learner? If yes,
what are these effects?
Yes of course, because in the case of the communication between home and
school connectedness, it affects how learners learn with the help of both parents
and teachers. The teachers will report to parents the performance child at school
and they help the learner to grow for their selves and for their future.

4. How can the teacher partner with the community to contribute to the development and
learning of the students? Who are the people or which institutions can the teacher tap seek
advice regarding the development and learning of students.
So, other institution which affects the capacity to learn of a learner is the
environment itself and the people around there. In this matters , the teacher
gives learning materials to the people in community like barangay captain and its
officers and the official gives it to learners and help each and every one to
transmit knowledge in a good way.

Let’s Write a Journal

Journal Entry #4
Factors that affect the development of a learner! Your entry should contain
your understanding and reflection on the given concept.

Self-Learning Activities

A
1. Reflect on your own development as a child. What type of parenting did you experience?
How did it affect you?
My development as a child was worthwhile and very nice experience which I
instill in my mind right now. The parenting style they apply to me is that if I’ve
done mistakes or I’m very naughty they just not only scold me but hit me with
the stem of guava with leaves and until now it’s still in my mind. It affects me as a
child as I grow to be physically, mentally, and emotionally strong because not
every time they are here for me. To guide and supports me.

2. As a future teacher, how would you establish good home-school collaboration? How can
you work well with the parents? How can you help them? How can they help you?
Children learn best when the important adults in their lives—parents, teachers,
and other members of the family and community—cooperate to help and
encourage them. When considering how schools should be run and how children
should be educated, this fundamental fact should serve as a compass. Schools
cannot meet all of a child's developmental needs on their own; parents' active
participation and community support are crucial.
It may seem obvious why parents and schools must work closely together to
teach children. This relationship was natural and straightforward to maintain in
earlier times. Teachers and parents frequently lived close by and had plenty of
opportunities to talk about a child's development. Children comprehended the
same signals that parents and instructors delivered to them.
