CONSCIENCE

Define Conscience
 A sense or awareness of one's own conduct, intentions, or character's moral goodness or
blameworthiness coupled with a sense of responsibility to act morally upright or
upstanding. We are inspired to live by our strongly held moral convictions, and we
become aware of them through our individual conscience. We also evaluate our behavior,
character, and ultimately ourselves in light of these values.

Enumerate different kind of conscience

 Correct conscience
 Erroneous conscience
 Certain conscience
 Doubtful conscience
 Lax conscience
 Scrupulous conscience
 Delicate conscience

Describe each type of conscience

 Correct Conscience: tells us whether a decision is appropriate or inappropriate and
whether it is consistent with the reality of the choice in light of objective law.
 Erroneous Conscience: when you make a mistaken judgment, you may believe
something to be bad when it is actually good.
 Certain Conscience: subjective judgment of the morality or immorality of particular acts
to be performed or acknowledged.
 Doubtful Conscience: when you are unable to decide between the best option and the
worst one.
 Lax Conscience: when sin is present, but you fail to notice it.
 Scrupulous Conscience: a conscience that considers something to be sin when it is not, or
that declares something to be a venial sin when it is actually a grave sin.
 Delicate Conscience: judges appropriately and attentively on the acts that will eventually
be performed.
