VI. COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course provides students with an overview of project management focusing on project initiation and control. A discussion of the
project lifecycle as well as the intricacies of defining and monitoring project resources will also be included. By end of the course,
students will be familiar with aid and development of project work, language and terminology used, different project structures,
implementation practices, and strategies to address potential conflicts and obstacles.
VII. COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the end of the course, the students should be able to do the following:
Understand what project is, the project lifecycle, stakeholders and roles, challenges and Importance of project management
Learn and apply the different steps in project planning and development and evaluation
Put together a proposal for a project, present a program./project plan

1. The class will be divided in groups of 3 for group projects
2. Each group will be asked to put together a proposal for a project that they will put up
3. The contents of the above deliverables will be discussed and could be built upon as the course progresses.
4. The deliverables will be submitted to the professor on or before the scheduled date of submission. Each group will be
given at least 30 minutes to conduct the presentation.
