Financial Analyst Program

Program Brochure
About this Program
Why is ALX running a Financial Analyst Program?

Following a job mapping exercise that ALX conducted in 2021, we identified that there was a
high demand in the market for Finance and Accounting skills however, there was a clear gap in
the market of this talent. This program was therefore started to bridge this gap.

What is the ALX and MasterCard Partnership?

ALX has a mandate to create 2M work opportunities for young Africans. To get to this goal, we
have partnered with MasterCard to offer this program at no cost to you. In return, we only
request that you share your career progress with us during and post-Program.

Why did we Partner with CFI?

The Corporate Finance Institute is a leading, accredited institution that offers online world-class
courses and certifications. The training is offered by industry experts and the courses are
practical to real-world scenarios. The curriculum is also designed to get even those without a
Finance and Accounting background to be a successful Financial Analyst.
Why is the FMVA training and duration different from what’s offered by CFI?

CFI has created a highly tailored FMVA learning path for ALX that we believe sets you up for the
greatest opportunities. Standard CFI learners are not provided the same level of guidance.

Who should take this Program?

This Program is for participants who want to join or upskill themselves in the Finance industry.
Successful participants are those ready to take on the challenge, are dedicated and have the
bandwidth to take on the Program.

What are the next steps after completing this Program?

After you successfully complete and graduate from the Program, you will have the opportunity
to join The ROOM Fellowship. The Room Fellowship is a community of extraordinary young
