January 3, 2021 – The owner bought supplies on account worth P10,000.

Activity 3 – ASSESSMENT
Journalize the following transactions. Use the attached
general journal sheet for this activity.

Jan 1 - JGF, the Owner, invested P250,000 cash in the company’s bank account.
Jan 3 – Paid P10,000 to city hall for a business permit.
Jan 5 – Purchased office supplies on account for P7,500
Jan. 10 – Purchased equipment for P35,000, paying P5,000 cash and issuing a note payable
for the remaining P30,000.
Jan 11 – Purchased furniture and fixtures on account amounting to P25,000
Jan 12 – Received cash of P35,000 from various customers for services rendered.
Jan 15 – Billed various customers on account for P25,000
Jan 30 – Collected P15,000 from the accounts receivable recorded Jan. 15.
Jan. 31 – Paid operating expenses amounting to P34,000 – P20,000 for Salaries, P10,000 for
rent, and P4,000 for utilities.
Jan. 31 – The owner withdrew P5,000 from the business for his personal use.
