ECE (Electronics Engineering) formerly known as Electronics and
Communication Engineering is a branch of engineering that focuses on
electronic device, their circuit components, communication units, and
integrated circuits. It compiles Communication Engineering and core
Electronics Engineering.
ELECTRONICS
With the invention of transistors, electronics dominated the field of
computers, control systems, instrumentation, and some fields of medicine
that requires the use of electronic devices. it grasps the whole understanding
of how electronics work specifically both software (programming) and
hardware (semiconductors), and its integration in providing, designing,
improving, and manufacturing systems especially communication utilities.
COMMUNICATIONS
ECE was primarily focused on Communications in the late 20th century
since the only use of electronics was telephony.
ENGINEERING
It will also tackle the foundation of engineering, to teach
undergraduates the basic technical skills a professional engineer must
have to manage operations and systems. In companies, industries, or
engineering firms that are involved in broadcasting, transmitting, and
telecommunication lines, an ECE Engineer is essential to achieve
effective operations especially if the scope or target requires tedious
work, careful examinations, proper decision-making, and research.
