CHILD PROTECTION POLICY IMPLEMENTATION REPORT

Every child has rights, no matter who they are or where they live. Our
government has promised to protect, respect and fulfill these rights, yet they are still
violated nationwide.
Bayoyong National High School’s Child Protection Program focus on holding
the government accountable on children's rights standards by monitoring its
performance and commitments and ensures the protection of every learner under its
care.
In this view, the school formulated and implemented a localized school-based
child protection policy adapted from D.O. #40, S. 2012, Policy and Guidelines on
Protecting Children in School from Abuse, Violence, Exploitation, Discrimination,
Bullying and other forms of Abuse.
The school conducted orientation and Parents-Teachers Conferences to raise
awareness on School Child Protection Policy, Rights of every Child and other issues
concerning the Child Protection Policy Program.
Working together with the Government and community, Bayoyong National
High School Child Protection Policy Committee do policy research and analysis to
ensure child rights are upheld in government policies, procedures and laws - and
that children's voices are heard and taken into consideration through this the school
was able to formulate a localized school policy serves as guiding principle of the
school to protect every child in school.
Internal and external stakeholders of Bayoyong National High School worked
hand in hand to promote the Government Child Protection Program. Every child has
the right to know the activities in their environment. Through the school Disaster Risk
Reduction Management activities such as the Earthquake Drill, the learners able to
know how to protect themselves in case of disasters. The Barangay Council and
PNP, shared their expertise about anti- drug campaign during the NDEP activities.
The School-Based Child Protection Program Coordinator, Ma’am Cristeta A.
Catama, conducted orientation during PTA General Assembly and School
Leadership Trainings. Teachers integrated the CPP during the Edukasyon sa
Pagpapakatao Subjects. The Supreme Student Government Officers were assigned
to anti-bullying campaign in the school to avoid violence.
Involving the internal and external stakeholders in the Child Protection
Program is one of the best practices in implementing the program. Everyone is
accountable to everyone’s protection from violence, abuse and other forms of
bullying.
