Science Quarter 2 Module 4

This document contains a student's report on several enrichment activities and assessments involving light reflection and refraction using mirrors and lenses. The activities explore how beam intensity is affected by the position of a light bulb in a reflector, how a mirror reflection changes with distance, and how images are formed by convex and concave lenses. The student also lists key terms learned and takes an assessment to test their understanding.

What’s New

YOU ARE GOD’S CREATION

AND YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!

What’s More
Enrichment Activity 1: “Light Reflectors”
1. The beam emitted travels along a straight path and it is divergent in nature.
2. I observed that the region where the bulb is positioned has denser light beam. This gets fainter towards the edges of
the beam and away from the bulb.
3. The beam intensity is affected by beam quality as well as beam quantity.

Position of Bulb in the Beam Intensities

Reflector
Position 1 Bright
Position 2 Brighter
Position 3 Brightest

Enrichment Activity 2: Mirror Self-Check!

1. The image that I see is myself.
2. Yes, the reflection widens as I slowly move 3 meters away.
3. The image formed in the opposite side of it was inverted.
4. The reflection becomes thin after I moved 3 meters away from the mirror. While the other reflection had a wide
range when I was closer in front of the mirror.
5. The range of the reflection is closer and narrowed.
6. The reflection is getting smaller after moving 3 meters away.
7. Image formed by mirrors are due to the reflection of light originated from an object.

Enrichment Activity 3: “Investigating Convex and Concave Lenses”

Part A
1. Enlarged and upright.
2. The image near my classmate’s eyes is enlarged and clear.

Part B
4. The images that are formed are enlarged and upright.
5. The range of the reflection has been compacted.

Far Upside down Upright Smaller Smaller

Assessment 2

2. smaller and upside down
3. convex
4. smaller and upright
5. hyperopia
