Unit: - Extensive Reading .Grade and classes: Grade 1 – Boys and Girls
Lesson Title: A Fable. Date 06-07/ 04 / 2022

Lesson Objectives

 Read a fable.
 Develop reading comprehension skills.
 L2: Remember a fable.
 Think about the characters in a fable.
 Act out a fable.
Lesson Steps

1. Greeting class, ask about the date


2. Warm up + Introduce the lesson
3. L1: Before we read the story I ask students
 Which characters are in the fable?
 Explain that a fable is a story with a lesson for the reader.
 Show the class the pictures and ask them to name the
 animals and objects they can see.
 Ask students to say which characters are in the fable.
4. Play the recording for the students to listen and follow the fable in their books.
5. L2: REMEMBER THE FABLE.
6. Who eats the cheese?
7. Ask the students what they can remember about the fable.
8. Ask questions to prompt the students, e.g. What animals / foods / places are in the fable?
9. Ask the students to say who eats the cheese in the fable. Students can look at the pictures in their books to help them remember.
10. Play the recording for the students to listen and follow the fable in their books.
11. Finally, I ask the students to open their Activity book to do the activities.
