NARRATIVE REPORT ON TRAINING ON VALUES RESTORATION PROGRAM

FOR ALL TEACHING AND NON-TEACHING PERSONNEL
July 1, 2021 (Day 1)

The Schools Division of Nueva Ecija – Cabiao District conducted a “Values

Restoration Program” through Online Virtual Meeting for their Teaching and Non-Teaching
Personnel last July 1, 2021. The program formally started with an online registration and it
was followed by the introduction of the august body here in Cabiao District by Jun Ainne
Francisco, the facilitator. They are; Noemi C. Sagcal, PhD., Public Schools District
Supervisor (Chairman), Ronyla S. Ramy, School Principal III (Vice Chairman), Levy B.
Hernal, OIC-Head Teacher III (Vice Chairman), and other School Heads. Then, Sta. Rita
Elementary School and its selected leaders, formally opened the program through showing
nationalism via video presentation, appreciation and faith to God and etc. After that, the Pre-
Test link containing preliminary questions regarding the VRP. It was submitted/posted in the
Official Facebook Group named SDO Cabiao Annex by Levy B. Hernal, Head Teacher III.
The said link, was a must activity before the discussions because it covers the wisdom and
values that will highlights during the event.

Then, Ronyla S. Ramy, School Principal III, has shown the overview of the VRP.
Again, VRP is to aid learning instruction and an increase in positive values from students in
schools. The VRP is a soft approach of the government’s Anti-Graft and Corruption
initiative. Hence, the contribution of this to the government is an attempt to become a
premiere Schools Division Office, where everyone treats each other with respect and are
valued as human beings. In line with that, there were challenging questions posted during the
live event and those were answered cheerfully by the viewers/personnel.

The next big thing was the Introduction to VRP and the Values of Spirituality headed
by Evelyn P. Solis, PhD., Education Program Supervisor, EsP. It was a great discussion for
this event because of the meaningful contents discussed by Dr. Solis. Spiritual values are the
integrative values of human soul consisting of altruistic, humanistic, personal, divine, and
affective values leading to spiritual growth of personality. To work with it, a teacher should
have a capacity to manifest such attributes as sacredness, awareness, vision, wisdom,
purpose, love, and the search for meaning, purpose, value and truth of life. Religious values
in the spiritual dimension can provide guidance for sustainable lifestyle and wellbeing of
society.

After that warm and sincere discussion, Mary Jane V. Bondoc, School Principal II,
discussed “Taming the Tongue” which is a very important factor for every educator or
professional. Like in the Bible says in Psalm 34:12-13 – “Whoever of you loves life and
desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.” ...
Proverbs 10:19 – “Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their
tongues.” There is a power in every word we say. It was a great time with Ma’am Bondoc to
listen, in her real-life explanations of her topic.

Hence, having covered all the discussions, the program was formally ended and the
link to the Day 1 output was opened. It contained of the following questions; Top 3 Problems
of our Nation, can a nation be changed? How? What is your major takeaway from this
session?
