RESILIENCE MONTH (NDRM) IN JULY 2021

PARTICIPANTS: ALL OFFICIALS AND CONSTITUENTS OF THE BLGU

I. RATIONALE:

Presidential Executive Order No. 137 dated 10 August 1999 declares the Month
of July of every year as “National Disaster Consciousness Month and Institutionalizing
the Civil Defence Deputization Program.” The annual observance calls for the holding of
activities designed to heighten the awareness of the people about hazard, risk, and
disaster. Such activities are aimed towards disaster risk reduction and preparedness at
the local government level.

This year’s NDRM observance emphasizes the importance role of disaster risk
governance and the support of Filipinos in overcoming the challenges brought by the
pandemic and in building green and resilient normal.

Relative to this the BDRRMC in will conduct series of activities such as


simultaneous hanging of tarpaulins, installing IEC materials for natural disasters, tree
planting activity and trainings for community disaster volunteers.

II. OBJECTIVES:

To propagate information of relative to DRRM activities in the community for them to


enable the essence disaster risk management and support of the stakeholders to
realized disaster resilience community.

III. BUDGETARY REQUIREMENTS:

IV. SOURCE OF FUNDS:

The funding shall be charge to the LDRRMF under Annual Observance of
