COMPARING
1.Rajah Sulayman and Jose Rizal were both braves Filipinos who lived in different times. In
the same manner, they died as heroes because they fought against the Spaniard’s who
colonized the Philippines for a long time.
2.Also, both Sulayman and Rizal fought against the Spaniard’s oppression and died in their
hands.
3.Rajah Sulayman fought for freedom; similarly to Jose Rizal did.
CONTRASTING
1.Sulayman fought through his sword; however, Rizal did not.
2.The past day heroes and modern day heroes has the same goal, it is to achieve freedom for
everyone; however the past heroes fought the Spaniard’s for freedom while the modern day
heroes are fighting against the virus who caused the suffering of peoples.
3.Sulayman fought the Spaniard’s with his sword and bravery but Jose Rizal used a different
method to fought them. Instead, he wrote all of the deeds of Spaniard’s and how the Filipinos
suffered because of them.

might in a war and writing all their deeds that can anger them is a dangerous and reckless
decision.

examples of heroic characters, who by their strength or their wiles or both overcame almost
impossible obstacles.
They are considered as heroes because even though they are already suffering, their still
continuing on risking their lives to achieve the freedom and cure for the virus.

Meet the “Ama ng Katipunan”, Andres Bonifacio.
Andres Bonifacio is as brave as the heroes that are mentioned in the text. They also have the
same goal, freedom. Andres Bonifacio fought with all his mighty against the people who’s
making the country suffer. Well Rajah Sulayman did that too, unlike Jose Rizal who remain
silent but all this time he wrote tons of book that contains the deeds of Spaniards and how
they made this country suffer. That’s the way of his fighting. But for me Andres Bonifacio is
better than the two of them. But when it comes to method of fighting against the Spaniards, I
prefer Rizal’s. I’m not that kind of person who love fighting after all. But I still idolized Andres
Bonifacio for what he did. The modern-day heroes are worth considered as heroes as well
because without them this country will surely suffer because of the virus. We’re in the middle
of pandemic, but look at them, they are continuing to help the peoples who are in need.
Even though the heroes that I described lived in a different times, no one can change the fact
that without them the people in past time and present time will never have the freedom that
they want.

In my opinion, educated Filipinos in the past were more efficient and intelligent than the
educated Filipinos nowadays. Previously, despite the lack of technology and connections,
educated people were able to relocate and work hard despite the lack of technology and
connections, making it more difficult for them to execute their jobs. In addition, several of the
advancements we see today are the result of those Filipinos in the past. In terms of today's
educated Filipinos, I can see that they are all competing with the most up-to-date educational
system, and I don't want to discount their hard work, but you see, technology and gadgets
today are so advanced that it's easier for them to live their lives every day than it was for
previous generations of Filipinos.

manner, likewise, and similarly when I tried to compare same ideas.

otherwise, yet, though, instead, and on the other hand when I answered an activity that
needs to be contrasted.

First, identify the similarities and differences between ideas; Second, take note of the
similarities and differences as well as the transition signals for comparing and contrasting;
and Third, express your own opinion by showing comparison and contrast as supported by
facts and evidence through the text that is presented.
