A. Preliminary Activity

Greetings and attendance checking
Setting of standards before the start of the lesson
Review on online safety, security, ethics and etiquette
B. Motivation
The teacher will show a video about the use of internet and ask the following:
What was the video all about?
Have you tried using the internet
Are you using the internet in your daily lives?
How often do you access on the internet?
C. Lesson Proper
1. ACTIVITY
Group the class into three. Let them classify if the words are relating to BOOKS or
INTERNET. Let them post their answer to the board.

Which would you prefer books or internet? Why?
Are you using internet for research work or assignment?
What are the sites do you commonly visit when accessing the internet?
2. ANALYSIS
Ask the leaners the following questions:
What is the internet? How do you use it?
Can you compare the traditional way and online searching?
How essential is it to you nowadays?
How is it affecting to your life?
Can you give examples of search engines commonly available in the web?
3. ABSTRACTION
How can we search and gather information with ease and speed?
What are the search engines that would help us in searching on the internet?
Valuing: What should be our attitude towards internet usage?
4. APPLICATION
Let the learners browse through the internet and try to use available search engine.

Ask what search engine did they use
Group Activity
Let them use the following search engines in gathering information of chosen topics
Let them present to the class their output.
