International Collaboration for Research methods Development in Oncology

(CReDO) workshop
4th to 9th March 2018, Mumbai, India

CReDO application format

The final CReDO application will have to be submitted via an online portal
(https://tmc.gov.in/credo)

These are the particulars needed for the application

1. Personal particulars of the applicant – with this, a photograph will need to be


scanned and uploaded (File extensions:jpg,jpeg,tiff,png. Maximum file size:
500 kb)
2. Details of supervisor – The supervisor can be a departmental or institutional
head, or any senior member of the organization who can give a commitment
that the applicant will be supported in his/her research endeavour
3. Letter of support from the supervisor on the supervisor’s letterhead (not
more than 200 words): This letter should contain the following details:
a. How long and in what capacity the supervisor knows the applicant
b. The supervisor’s rating of the applicant’s research aptitude and experience
c. Reasons why the supervisor feels the applicant is suitable for this
workshop (what value will it add to the department/institute)
d. An assurance that the supervisor/institution will support the applicant to
complete his/her research project
e. A statement that there is no objection to being contacted by the workshop
organisers regarding the participant
The letter of support will need to be scanned and uploaded (File extensions:
jpg,jpeg,tiff,png; Maximum file size: 2 MB)
4. Details of applicants’s prior research experience, research publications and
future research plans
5. Research concept sheet: This should outline the research concept or idea
which the applicant proposes to develop at the workshop and should have
a. Title (max 30 words)
b. Background and objectives (max 100 words)
c. Methods (max 100 words)
d. Feasibility – sample size, duration of study (max 30 words)
6. A statement of participation (100 words) from the applicant – This should
include:
a. What is your research background?
b. Why do you want to participate in this workshop?
c. How do you think you/your institution will benefit from this workshop?
