The following procedure is for the 311C.

(1) Backup switch
1. Move backup switch (1) to the AUTO position.

(2) Switch for one touch low idle
(3) Engine speed dial
(4) Starter switch
2. Ensure that engine speed dial (3) is at the LOW IDLE position (tortoise).
3. Depress the switch for one touch low idle (2).
4. Start the engine.
5. Move the engine speed dial (3) to the HIGH IDLE position (Rabbit).

(5) Low idle indicator
6. Release the switch for one touch low idle (2) after low idle indicator (5) illuminates.
7. Depress the switch for one touch low idle (2) for one second. The low idle indicator (5) will blink
slowly.
8. Release the switch for one touch low idle (2) .
9. Move the engine speed dial indicator to the position of the desired function.
Table 1 lists the functions of the positions of the engine speed dial.

Calibration Mode is automatically cancelled when the engine has been turned OFF for 30 seconds.
The following procedure is for the 314CCR.

(1) Backup switch
1. Place backup switch (1) in AUTO position.

(2) Engine speed dial
(3) One touch low idle switch
(4) Starter switch
1. Make sure that the engine speed dial (2) is in position 1.
2. Depress the one touch low idle switch (3).
3. Place the starter switch (4 ) in the ON position.
4. Place the engine speed dial (2) in position 10.

(5) One touch low idle indicator
1. After the one touch low idle indicator (5) comes on, release the one touch low idle switch (3). If the
governor actuator shifts to the initial position, the start of the calibration mode is complete.
The following functions are assigned to each position of the engine speed dial in calibration mode.

Use the following procedure in order to cancel the calibration mode.
1. When you terminate the calibration mode, place the starter switch (4) in the OFF position. The
calibration mode will be cancelled after approximately 30 seconds.
