SESSION SUMMARY
Since bridges are basically made up of series of girders (continuous beams), it dictates that design of bridges
includes the analysis of continuous beams.
Two of the most used methods of analyzing continuous beams are the THREE-MOMENT EQUATION
METHOD and the SLOPE-DEFLECTION METHOD. Both methods have their advantages and disadvantages
against one another and it is important to know how to decide when to use one method from the other.
