The number of events that we can register from the doors also
depends on the number of events that we have stored on them. In
normal mode, the portable programmer registers the latest events
from each door which have not been previously registered and stored
in the PC. Supposing we have 25 new events, they can be registered in
a maximum of 2000 doors. The cylinders and/or locks have enough
capacity to store up to 1000 events (when the number of users is not
above 1000). In case the doors have stored the maximum amount of
events, we will we able to register in the Portable Programmer up
to a maximum of 50 doors.
Once we have finished with this task, the window of the PC will
display a message indicating that the information has been
transmitted correctly, and then we check that the validation of data in
the PP is correct.

In the case of the cylinder, the first thing that the portable
programmer does is read the version of the cylinder. Of course, the
portable programmer must be connected to the cylinder by means of
the connection cable for the cylinder. We can see it in the following
screen:
The screen indicates the name of the door with which the
cylinder has been initialized, and the current date and time of the
clock.
In the case of the lock, added to the type of lock and the clock
test we also check the operation of the reader, the crutch key of the
privacy lever, the keyboard (if the lock has one) and the warning LEDs.
From the Doors menu and with the Test option selected we
press ENTER. The portable programmer will indicate the type of lock, as
in the following picture:
Then we do the reader test and the test of the crutch key of the
security lever. The portable programmer will ask us whether we want
to do that test:
The test of the crutch key of the lever (or privacy) is carried out
by turning it 90º. The security lever will come out (this means that the
lever is on the door). If it works properly, we will see a circle to the left
of the text “Privacy” and the text will darken.
The next step of the lock test is the keyboard. If the lock does not
have a keyboard the portable programmer recognizes it and displays a
message like the following:
If the lock has a keyboard, we will press all the keys of the lock
one by one to check that they work properly.
The last step is the test of the warning LEDs. The portable
programmer will ask us whether both LEDs (the green one and the red
one) are on.
We press ENTER:
That is, we obtain all the information of the key: the name of its
user, the activation and expiry dates and the state of the key
(unauthorised key, expired key, old key etc.).
Before we carry out the test we will read the following message:
Keyboard Test
Clock Test
Key Test
Test of the cable with the key
Test of the memory of the PP
Once we have inserted the key the programmer will carry out the
test, giving us the following message:
We press X and finish the PP test. If the PP has not detected any
fault we will see the following message:
If the PP has detected a fault in any of the tests carried out, it will
tell us in which test it has detected it: keyboard, clock, cable with the
key or memory.
In that case we will have to execute the PP test again, and if the
fault is detected again we will have to get in touch with the technical
service department to solve the problem detected.
