Strength:

 Recognized brand:
Amazon is a big part of the global e-commerce marketplace, and its brand is well-known
around the world.
 Customer-centric:
Amazon meets a wide range of consumers' daily needs at reasonable prices. As a result, it
has evolved into a brand that is centred on the customer.
 Logistics and distribution systems:
Amazon uses a large number of logistics and distribution systems. It also has predetermined
fees for different delivery times. As a result, it provides consumers with commodities and
supplies that are dependable, secure, and timely.

Weaknesses:

 Replicable business model

In today's digital age, online retail companies are quite common. As a result, rival businesses
can readily copy Amazon's business model. Even Amazon is being challenged by a few
competitors.

 Losing Margins in Few Areas

Amazon has lost market share in a few countries, including India. Its free shipping to
customers could be one of the sources exposing margin erosion problems in different areas.

Opportunities:

 Podcasts:
Amazon's Amazon Music platform now includes a podcasting service. The new initiative aims
to bite into Spotify and Apple's market share as the leading podcast providers.

 Physical stores
By expanding physical stores, Amazon can improve competitiveness against big box retailers
and engage customers with the brand.
 Amazon Fresh
The company's newest initiative, Amazon Fresh, offers seamless in-store and online
purchasing as well as consistently low prices.

Threats:

 Fake Goods
There are lot of sellers in amazon selling fake products and the government is pressuring
Amazon to take responsibility for the harm caused by fake items offered by third-party
sellers on Amazon.
 Aggressive competition
With modernization lot of new e-retailers and physical stores have increased with big retail
firms like Walmart and eBay can give Amazon a tough time in the future.
 Fake reviews
Amazon has an overwhelming amount of fake reviews, and the problem has worsened in
recent times due to the pandemic. Product reviews are a critical indicator of quality and
authenticity, and customers rely heavily on reviews to make purchases.
