1.) Do you agree that Jollibee’s marketing campaign is effective? Why or why not?
-Yes. Because the digital way of marketing is what is relevant at this time. The “Kwentong
Jollibee” videos storyline is very effective as we know that Filipinos are emotional and want
something that they can relate to. That’s why their marketing campaign really catch the
attention of the customers and they love every message of the stories they create.

2.) Assuming that your company is Jollibee’s main competitor? What counteractions will you do to
compete with Jollibee’s marketing efforts/success?
-I will look for the things they haven’t done yet and take it as opportunity to come up with
better ideas that will equal or exceed to their marketing strategies. I will try to make my
customers feel the same way with my marketing campaign by engaging them and catch what
they wanted to feel.

3.) In the age of technology, should businesses heavily rely on social/mass media? Justify your
answer.
-I think yes because everyone now is focused and relying on the social media and technologies.
From entertainment, work and even online business is successful now. Technology is improving
as the time goes by and I think it is better for the businesses to keep up with what is new to be
able to know the trend and what to offer to the customers.

4.) In a marketing perspective, what are the challenges most businesses face today and how they
can address it?
One challenge that business can face today is the “Invisibility of the business”. Promoting your
business should be one of your main tasks if you want to become a businessperson. The
problem arises when choosing the medium and the resources that will be used. Advertising a
company is very simple and can be very cheap. But, if you use a medium that is not appropriate
and you address people who are not interested in your product or service, you will only have
lost time and money. Some of the platforms you can use to advertise your business are Press
releases, radio, and television or ads on different platforms on the Internet.
Another one is “Not having a marketing plan” very few companies, small and medium, have a
marketing plan. It is vital to know which products or services should be advertised to encourage
the sales, or when they should do it. To create an effective marketing plan, you’ll need to know
when it’s best to sell something or another. Planning means doing things at the right time, not
just because you think you should try something different.
