2. Course Title : INDUSTRIAL MATERIALS AND PROCESSES
3. Pre-requisite: Chem 1D (General Chemistry), Phys 2G (Electricity and Magnetism)
4. Co-requisite : NONE
5. Credit : 2 units / 2 hrs per week
6. Course Description : This course is an introduction to materials science and engineering. It discusses the traditional
classification of materials: metals and their alloys, polymers, glasses and ceramics, composites, and new/emerging
materials - their nature and properties, testing techniques utilized to determine their integrity, and their application and
processing.
