ACTIVITY 2
1. What are the advantages and disadvantages of having or promoting a certain ideology?
Advantages:
-You'll know who shares the same ideas as you if you do this to a large group. Those who approve you
are known.
-You'll feel privileged because you'll be able to exercise your right to express what's going on in your
head.
-You have the opportunity to ask for help from others and thereby contribute to what you already know
Disadvantages:
-People may misinterpret you if you don't do it right.
-If you're a soft-spoken and sensitive person, you'll be wounded if your views aren't popular.
-You may feel entitled to your own opinion and have a proclivity to persuade others to believe you.
2. What ideology do you prefer? Why? Base your answer on the different ideologies enumerated in the
discussion above and the observable political situation of the country at present.
-Civil society is the "aggregate of non-governmental organizations and institutions that manifest
interests and will of citizens". civil societyincludes the family and the private sphere, referred to as the
"third sector" of society, distinct from government and business.
3. What do you think is lacking in terms of assertions of ideas in the ideologies presented in the
discussion?
-In human cultures, ideology is a variety of those broad patterns of cognitive and moral ideas about
man, society, and the world in connection to man and society that flourish. Other sorts of
comprehensive patterns that must be distinguished from ideology include outlooks and creeds, systems
and movements of thought, and programs.
