Tata Motors Limited:-
an Indian multinational automotive manufacturing company h
eadquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It is a part
of Tata Group, an Indian conglomerate. Its products include
passenger cars, trucks, vans, coaches, buses, sports cars,
construction equipment and military vehicles
Founded in 1945 as a manufacturer of locomotives, the
company manufactured its first commercial vehicle in 1954 in
a collaboration with Daimler-Benz AG, which ended in 1969.
Tata Motors entered the passenger vehicle market in 1988
with the launch of the Tata Mobile followed by the Tata
Sierra in 1991, becoming the first Indian manufacturer to
achieve the capability of developing a competitive indigenous
automobile. In 1998, Tata launched the first fully indigenous
Indian passenger ca and in 2008 launched the Tata Nano, the
world's cheapest car. Tata Motors acquired the South Korean
truck manufacture Daewoo Commercial Vehicles Company in
2004 and purchased Jaguar Land Rover from Ford in 2008.
Tata Motors is listed on the BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange),
where it is a constituent of the BSE SENSEX index,
the National Stock Exchange of India, and the New York
Stock Exchange. The company is ranked 265th on the Fortune
Global 500 list of the world's biggest corporations as of 2019.
Stock market:-
A stock market, equity market, or share market is the
aggregation of buyers and sellers of stocks (also called
shares), which represent ownership claims on businesses;
these may include securities listed on a public stock exchange,
as well as stock that is only traded privately, such as shares of
private companies which are sold to investors through equity
crowdfunding platforms. Investment in the stock market is
most often done via stockbrokerages and electronic trading
platforms. Investment is usually made with an investment
strategy in mind.
Stocks can be categorized by the country where the company
is domiciled. For example, Nestlé and Novartis are domiciled
in Switzerland and traded on the SIX Swiss Exchange, so they
may be considered as part of the Swiss stock market, although
the stocks may also be traded on exchanges in other countries,
for example, as American depositary receipts (ADRs) on U.S.
stock markets.
Bombay Stock Exchange:-
BSE Limited, formerly known as the Bombay Stock
Exchange is an Indian government owned stock
exchange located on Dalal Street in Mumbai. Established in
1875, it is Asia's oldest stock exchange. BSE is the world's 7th
largest stock exchange with an overall market capitalization of
more than US$2.8 trillion on as of February 2021
While Bombay Stock Exchange Limited is now synonymous
with Dalal Street, it was not always so. In the 1850s, five
stock brokers gathered together under Banyan tree in front of
Mumbai Town Hall, where Horniman Circle is now
situated. A decade later, the brokers moved their location to
another leafy setting, this time under banyan trees at the
junction of Meadows Street and what was then called
Esplanade Road, now Mahatma Gandhi Road. With a rapid
increase in the number of brokers, they had to shift places
repeatedly. At last, in 1874, the brokers found a permanent
location, the one that they could call their own. The brokers
group became an official organization known as "The Native
Share & Stock Brokers Association" in 1875.
The BSE is also a Partner Exchange of the United Nations
Sustainable Stock Exchange initiative, joining in September
2012.
BSE established India INX on 30 December 2016. India INX
is the first international exchange of India.
BSE launches commodity derivatives contract in gold, silver
Stock price:-
The term stock price refers to the current price that a
share of stock is trading for on the market.
Every publicly traded company, when its shares are
issued, are given a price – an assignment of their value
that ideally reflects the value of the company itself. The
price of a stock will go up and down in relation to a
number of different factors, including changes within
the economy as a whole, changes within industries,
political events, war, and environmental changes
