Group Reporting Planning in SAP Analytics Cloud 1/2
Group Reporting Planning enables you to do profit and loss and balance
sheet planning on the group reporting dimensions, such as consolidation unit
and financial statement item in SAP Analytics Cloud. It also includes a
manual distribution to partner consolidation unit. Planning administrators can
pre-populate planning screens based on past actual data.

This content complements the existing SAP Analytics Cloud content

“Integrated Financial Planning for SAP S/4HANA”:

▪ Integrated Financial Planning provides Profit&Loss and balance sheet

planning and can be used for companies being part of the group and
managed in SAP S/4HANA Cloud/ SAP S/4HANA. The plan values can
be transferred to SAP S/4HANA Planning table ACDOCP and afterward
be consolidated into group reporting table ACDOCU.
▪ For companies being part of the group but not managed in SAP
S/4HANA , the group reporting planning can be used. The transfer of
plan values into the ACDOCU table of SAP S/4HANA is not yet available.

Group Reporting Planning content provides profit and loss planning with SAP Analytics Cloud
revenues and expenses for Consolidation Units by Financial Statement Item
including the optional allocation to Partner Consolidation Units.
Group Reporting Planning

Balance sheet planning with assets, liabilities, and owner's equity is offered P&L Planning Balance Sheet Planning
providing the same granularity with a special focus on transaction codes and
the possibility to enter data as changing or closing values. A dedicated
balance sheet calculation function will ensure consistency.

Workforce Planning for SAP S/4HANA content is integrated with both

SAP SuccessFactors and SAP S/4HANA Cloud, allowing you to plan
resources and calculate personnel expenses.

These expenses can be transferred to the cost center planning model

within Integrated Financial Planning for SAP S/4HANA content using
the add-on for Integrated Financial Planning for SAP S/4HANA.

This content package is an add-On for the package Integrated

Financial Planning for SAP S/4HANA and provides integration to
other planning packages. Currently available is the integration to the
package Workforce Planning for SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

The add-on package can be imported after both the Integrated

Financial Planning for SAP S/4HANA content and the Workforce
Planning for SAP S/4HANA content have been imported.

Integration of Integrated Financial Planning with IBP Demand Planning
For a company, it is essential to integrate different planning processes, for example, between sales and operations (S&OP) planning and
financial planning. Integration helps companies react more quickly to changes and assess their impact. In addition, the integ ration contributes
to a better alignment between the different planning areas. SAP offers this integration between SAP Integrated Business Planning (SAP IBP)
and financial planning in SAP Analytics Cloud for SAP S/4HANA.

During the monthly S&OP process in SAP IBP, the supply chain planners determine the quantity of the consensus demand plan. The financial
planner imports the quantity of the consensus demand plan from SAP IBP to profitability planning in SAP Analytics Cloud. Based on the input
received from SAP IBP, the net revenue and the costs of goods sold are calculated in SAP Analytics Cloud. These values can be transferred
back to SAP IBP for further review.

This process ensures that the quantities and calculated values are consistent between the two systems. In addition, adopting the quantity
planning from SAP IBP reduces the effort on the financial side. And the planning results from financial planning in SAP Analytics Cloud
increases the accuracy of the S&OP management business review process.

End-to-End Business Process
The business process consists of the following steps:

1. IBP: As part of the monthly S&OP cycle, the Supply Chain Planners determine the Consensus Demand Plan Qty.
2. SAC: The financial planner imports the Consensus Demand Plan Qty from IBP to SAC.
3. SAC: the financial planner creates the sales plan based on the input from IBP. The outputs of this plan are Net Revenue and Costs of
Goods Sold.
4. SAC: the financial planner exports the Net Revenue to IBP.
5. SAC: the financial planner exports the Costs of Goods Sold to IBP.
6. IBP: the supply chain planners review the Net Revenue and Costs of Goods Sold by using Analytics functionality.
7. Annual Budget Plans in SAC using IBP forecasts as input
8. Financial Targets and COGS from SAC to IBP for monthly S&OP process
