TIP: To abort the current measurement, tap <Stop>.

6.5 Rinsing Liquids

To ensure reliable measuring results, effective
cleaning of the measuring cell(s) after a
measurement cycle is essential.
•Rinsing liquid 1 should dissolve and remove
sample residues in the measuring system. It
needs to be a good solvent for all sample
components.
•Rinsing liquid 2 should remove rinsing liquid 1 and
be easily evaporated by a stream of dry air in
order to accelerate the drying procedure for the
measuring system. It needs to be highly volatile
and a good solvent for rinsing liquid 1.
For cleaning recommendations see appendix D.

WARNING
Rinsing liquids with low flash point
temperatures are a potential fire and
explosion hazard.
If you use such rinsing liquids, make sure to fulfill
the corresponding safety precautions, see
section 1.

Xsample 330 approx. 3.8 kg (8.4 lbs)

Weight excl. master instrument

Xsample 330 approx. 1.9 kg (4.2 lbs)
a Recommended for samples with a viscosity up to 500 mPa·s at ambient and measuring temperature. For samples with a
viscosity higher than 500 mPa·s at ambient and measuring temperature, bubbles may occur during filling.
When using the automatic drying function only samples with 500 mPa·s viscosity are recommended. For higher viscosities
apply the alternative hose connections and deactivate the automatic drying function.

vessel filled with distilled water.
2. Tap <Start>.
3. Check the filling process carefully by U-View™.
4. While the peristaltic pump is in operation, check
the following:
• Do air bubbles occur? If yes, check
- the connection where the air bubbles
occurred for leak tightness.
- the pump Speed (possibly too high).
• Is water constantly dripping out of a
connection? If yes, check the connection where
the water dripped out for leak tightness.
• Is water pumped out of the sample vial and is
water constantly dripping out of the waste
hose? If not, check whether the peristaltic pump
is functioning properly, see appendix C.3.
5. Tap <Stop> on the master instrument.
