Description:

Malaysia is located on the equator which experiences hot and humid climate throughout the
year. Most of the residential house (landed type i.e., terraced house and detached house) are
made of basic bricks and concrete structures with less attention given on the heat-resistant
strategies or method for their building envelope. Therefore, this design produces hot indoor
conditions during daytime. The heat being transferred into the indoor condition by radiation,
convection, and conduction through roof, wall, and windows.

Based on the statement above, you are required to do a market survey to find the suitable retrofit
method for a landed type of residential house to reduce the heat transfer through the building
envelope (roof, wall, and windows).
